The S.H.Figuarts Naruto line from Tamashii Nations is absolutely thriving and I love to see it! The offerings in this rebooted line have been splendid and every release has been a banger. The future is looking bright as well, with Pain on the way followed by Shikamaru, and a recent tease for a Tsunade figure! As it stands, we've already gotten variations on characters in the line with multiple Narutos checked off as well as the kid version of Sasuke following the Shippuden depiction. Almost every character in the franchise as an alternate costume or design they go through, and this list will be counting out my most wanted alternate designs for characters we already have in the Figuarts Naruto line!
Honorable mention: Naruto (Six Paths)
We're already up to our fourth distinct Naruto design in the line, and there's still plenty more to choose from to continue pumping out the main character for the Figuarts display. Another big design and moment for the character would be his Sage of the Six Paths design, a popular one amongst fans that would no doubt be another killer entry for the character; however, the Kurama link figure will be a hard one to top.
5. Sakura and Shikamaru (Genin)
The inclusion of Naruto and Sasuke in their original designs from the first show in the line are two of my favorite entries so far, and I hope to build out more of the original designs of the cast as the line goes on. We've completed Shippuden's line up for Team 7, and with two out of three already checked off it would be easy for Sakura from the first series to be made to round out the team. Shikamaru is one that hasn't released yet, but I'm already looking for the future where we can get his original incarnation in the line as well to pair with kid Naruto, with swappable Chunin vest for both of his looks.
4. Resurrected Itachi
Itachi is one of the most popular characters in the franchise and I doubt that we have seen the last of him in the Figuarts line following the Narutop99 release of the character. While his Akatsuki garb covers a lot of his time in the series, his resurrection design is another that would add well to the line and serve as a nice companion for a happier time with Sasuke. The red of his robe would be a striking splash of color in the line, another chance for soft goods, and set the stage for hopefully a Kabuto down the line.
3. Six Paths of Pain
Pain is the principal villain for one of my personal favorite arcs in Naruto, and I was thrilled to see him announced for the line not long after Itachi as the next Akatsuki release. With his release imminent in the coming months my anticipation has me hoping to eventually get the other vessels of Pain as well to complete the Six Paths of Pain line up. Figuarts has been shown to crank out teams over time as seen in other lines like Dragon Ball, and if these guys being P-Bandai exclusives is what it takes to get them made I am all for it.
2. Sasuke (cursed mark)
Out of all the cursed marks transformations in the series Sasuke still has one of my all time favorites. The massive wings made out of hands is so gross but such a cool visual that I love to see it, and I would be absolutely down for our next version of Sasuke in the line to either be his kid version or Shippuden version in his cursed mark state! His kid version's transformation is more iconic to me since it comes from the climax of the original series which I've watched multiple times, but his Shippuden form's transformation is to be respected as well, and could come with an alternate wing piece for when he had one severed and had to replace it with snakes.
1. Tobi and Masked Man
Obito so far is one of my favorite figures in the line at large, with a plastic cloak that does function extremely well, a plentiful load out of accessories, and a plain out presence as a great figure. There are numerous other designs for the character throughout the series I want to see made eventually, with the most obvious ones being his Tobi and Masked Man personas. Tobi turning out to be a terrifying villain was a great plot twist in the series, and would also add to the overall Akatsuki display, whilst the Masked Man featured what might be my favorite mask for Obito as well as the potential to feature another real metal chain! Not to mention that he would pair up nicely with the Minato figure we got this year
