Top 5 favorite 2024 MCM London comic con and Hasbro 10/27 reveals

Honorable Mention: Retro Flint

Starting off the list is going to be an honorable mention. The next wave of Retro figures for the G.I. Joe Classified line was pipeline revealed and shown to be including a new version of classic Flint! I've been waiting for this one. I wasn't a huge fan of how limited his abdominal articulation became with the big vest piece of the original release, so I'm hoping this will be my chance to get a classic inspired Flint whose articulation is better handled.

G.I. Joe Classified Series Blowtorch

Keeping with G.I. Joe, they finally revealed a Joe that I've been waiting for for a while! While not as characteristically prominent in the original show as other characters, Blowtorch was still an easily recognizable member of the Joe ranks with his brightly colored jumpsuit and the flame spewing equipment he hauled around. The figure looks to include all the great reds and yellows that will make the figure stand out on the shelf, along with all the great flame effects we first saw with Torch.

Star Wars Black Series Savage Opress

Stepping into a galaxy far far away we got the long awaited reveal of one of the most intense, epic characters to be spawned from the Clone Wars television series. Savage is making his Black Series debut which is long overdue, and is coming with a beautiful looking figure that includes two of his signature weapons, soft goods tunic for maximum articulation, and a hulking beast of a silhouette. Star Wars hit the fans' needs right on the head with this release.

Studio Series Que

Transformers is the next big brand that got my attention between these two events and the first I'm discussing is something that has been LOOOOOONG awaited by me ever since the line first began. I was sure that Que would have been present in one of the first years of the line given that they were focusing on characters who needed updates, and Que fit that bill given that his original figure wasn't even really released in the US! After several years of waiting and hoping the dream is finally coming to fruition with a stupendous looking Que figure that matches up very well to his CGI design. The inclusion of the accessory weapons perplexed me at first, but then I remembered in the film that he carried a lot of equipment on his back, and I'm guessing that is what he is wielding in this promo pic.

Studio Series Constructicons

We've known this reveal was coming for a while and finally seeing it unveiled has me even more excited for this next big Studio Series project than ever before! We're finally getting a Combining team of the Constructicons who are well put together in all three modes, with Scrapper and Bonecrusher both looking like solid first releases in the new G1 Devastator who all put together looks better than I can put into words. As my favorite combiner team and some of my favorite Transformers overall of all time I am thrilled with these releases even topping the long awaited Que as my most anticipated Studio Series offerings of next year thus far!

Star Wars Black Series Sebulba, Shaak Ti, Luminara

Coming as complete surprises that were not pipeline revealed or teased in any way by Hasbro was a new assortment of prequel trilogy characters in the Star Wars Black Series, and three I've been hoping to get for a while! Shaak Ti and Luminara both are wonderful additions to the Prequel Jedi display, while Sebulba is an awesome alien design that looks like a ton of fun who I wasn't expecting to get into the Black Series anytime soon! I am beyond thrilled for all three of these figures who nicely fill out more of the Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones displays, and who really caught me off guard when I saw them unveiled!
