The Flash movie has hit hard with an awesome looking Super Bowl trailer, and Ezra Miller controversy aside I'm so excited for so many things in this movie from Supergirl to double Batman to kind-of-Flashpoint to freaking General Zod!! More than that, I'm excited to see what kind of toyline rollout Mcfarlane will give for this movie! Past movies have all gotten a whole assortment of characters, but the most recent film, Shazam 2, only got the titular character and I'm hoping that won't be the case for this film. We've already had the reveal of the main hero himself in his new streamlined costume design, and hopefully it doesn't stop there because here are 5 more characters from The Flash (2023) I hope to see from Mcfarlane!
5. Barry #2
One of the biggest questions surrounding that original trailer was regarding the second Barry Allen we see, and with recent developments about the plot and story of the movie being revealed I'm thinking it is the Barry of the new universe our Barry accidentally creates, the one with Supergirl and Keaton's Batman. We don't know much about what his role in the movie will be, but we can see him wearing a makeshift Flash suit made from a Batman costume which would be cool to see as a figure!
4. Batman (Affleck)
I've been a huge fan of Ben Affleck as Batman and I can't wait to see him one more time in the role, however short it may end up being in the final film. The newest suit he has donned looks almost exoskeleton-like, with lots of external extra padding to give it more of a utilitarian design and feel.
3. Batman (Keaton)
The big Batman for this movie will be Keaton's returning from the 1989 film series, and I'm very interested to see how he'll play the character after so long and how he will factor into the movie as a whole! The suit looks like a heap of nostalgia from that original movie, with teases of us seeing the Batwing and Batmobile enough to make any Bat fan excited about this movie.
2. Supergirl
One of the parts of the movie I'm most excited about though would have to be the introduction of Supergirl into the live action films. While it seems as though this is the only time we'll see this incarnation of Supergirl with the universe reset coming, so far it looks like she'll do a great job and be one of the standouts of the cast! I love her costume design with the red shoulder, and the shorter black hair is such a distinctive alteration from Kara's typical hair style!
1. Zod
General Zod is back!! I've been no stranger on here to voicing how much I loved Man of Steel and especially Michael Shannon's General Zod, so I cannot wait one bit to see him on the screen again after I was sure we'd seen the last of him back in 2013. I don't know how much of a role he'll play in the larger storyline, but it sounds like he'll be important for at least the initial jaunt into this new timeline Barry has created, and the best part is that his design is the same to that 2013 appearance so if Mcfarlane were to make an action figure of him from this movie it would be as if making a figure based on Man of Steel! He has been my most wanted character and design from the line since it started, and with him appearing in a new movie this is the perfect time for Mcfarlane to finally make him!
