If there's one thing that's obvious about Mcfarlane's line of DC figures, which basically every collector knows at this point, its that Batman and his lore is something the toy line is mining pretty hard for its material. We've gotten countless versions of Batman himself, as well as several members of his supporting cast including Damien Wayne, Red Hood, and a few of his rogues gallery who were all present on the previous version of this list. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers continues to be a huge portion of the Lightning Collection line from Hasbro and shows absolutely no signs of stopping anytime soon! A Mighty Morphin character of some kind is included in every wave of the line thus far, with plenty of exclusive spots taken by these original characters as well. Since my last list talking about MMPR, we've gotten Alpha Five, a non armored Zach, and a Mighty Morphin styled Green Ranger which means it is time to update my list! Mcfarlane has mentioned before how he really wants to finish out teams in his DC line, and he understands the desire of fans to get the several figures together that completes teams and line ups from the comics that would be cool to see displayed together. His first foray into this type of thing was with the Dark Knights from the Dark Knights Metal storyline, who have now been rounded out with the reveal of the Drowned coming early next year. They look absolutely incredible individually and especially together, and it now has me hoping to soon see other teams from the comics rounded out in the line. Villains are by far some of the funnest parts of the Power Rangers lore, and I absolutely love that Hasbro's Lightning Collection line is delving so far into that realm of the series! Bandai's line almost strictly kept to the rangers, but villain after villain keeps being produced by the Hasbro team to the point that now there's an entire subline for the monsters of the series! These designs also make for some of the most unique and best sculpts in the line, such as Zedd and Goldar! From my previous list of my most wanted villains in toy form, we've gotten Rita, the rest of the Psycho Rangers, the Ranger Slayer, and Astronema which I couldn't be more excited for! Red rangers are most of the time one of the most well developed and intriguing characters in any season of Power Rangers! They're the one that main stories usually revolve around, leading to the red rangers being some of the most beloved rangers of the entire franchise. Hasbro seems to understand this as every wave of Power Rangers they make seems to abide by the rule that one red ranger always needs to be present. This guarantees us to get these great characters sooner rather than later, and from my last list we now have Wes, Zeo Tommy, Conner, and Andros all currently in the line or coming soon! Hasbro continues to turn out Power Rangers figures in their new Lightning Collection line, and while they do periodically start to delve into new seasons every so often, they always give more love to the seasons that they've already started to touch upon and thats what this list is about. I look at what seasons are currently already touched upon by the line and my top 5 most wanted figures from those shows as a whole. From my last list, we got my honorable mention: the non armored MMPR Black Ranger, The remaining Psycho rangers, Andros and Tommy in their red ranger forms, and we've started to get In Space rangers in the line as well! Something Mcfarlane has emphasized doing is trying to find the coolest looking designs for figures that he does and he definitely has not fallen back on that ideal. From wave 1 with the Batman and Superman armors, he has continued to give us this more specific set of stylized designs that skew away from the usual classic looks a bit, with focuses such as the Dark Knights, Last Knight on Earth, the Grim Knight and White Knight all being primely represented. My previous list talking about which is these stylized storylines and characters I'd like to see made has come to fruition for a lot of what I discussed, so I'm back again seeing what cool and interesting designs DC has made that may skew away from the mainstream classic, but also make for an awesome Mcfarlane DC figure!
