I've been a huge fans of prehistoric creatures since I was born, especially dinosaurs, and Mattel's Jurassic Park/World lines have really dragged me in as of 2022 with the introduction of their Hammond Collection line! A reboot of their Amber Collection line that brings ALL dinosaurs into super articulated and detailed form at a 3.75inch scale that is much more cost effective and space effective. We've no doubt gotten some of our best main line dinosaur figures through this route, and with my prehistoric figure collection already exploding with many more on the way for 2023, this is a look back at my top 5 favorite Mattel Jurassic Park/World figures of 2022! 5. Hammond Collection Baryonyx (Image Source) One of the figure therapods to come out in the Hammond Collection line set an awesome precedent for the kind of articulation and sculpting we would see from the line there on out! Lightning Collection felt like it slowed down for the most part compared to least year, but we still got plenty of great action figures that I was happy to add to the display! 2023 is already looking to be a great year for the line with more Dino Thunder on the way and the completion of a few teams, but let's first take a look at what I personally consider my favorite 2022 Power Rangers Hasbro Lightning Collection releases! 5. Astronema (Image Source) I wasn't that happy with the Astronema we got in the two pack with Andros. I was excited to have the figure in the line, but the body armor was clunky and the headsculpt wasn't all that great. This second version of the character pulls it off a lot better in my opinion, and the sculpted body suit works much better than the armor overlay we got before, not to mention the separate necklace accessory, and a headsculpt that matches the actress a lot more closely.  4. The next 2022 ranking list I'll be doing will be focusing on the Build-A figures from the year and we got some pretty great ones! Overall, we had a total of six waves that built a separate character which is a continued step up from the previous two years. Todd just keeps giving us more and more each year, and I'm totally okay with that! There's some on here I'm not as excited about, but some that were on my most wanted lists without realistic expectations we'd actually get them! So strap in, because from worst to first these are my rankings for Mcfarlane's DC Multiverse Build-A figures! 6. Before I start making my lists of my favorite figures from 2022, I wanted to start with the negatives in order to get them out of the way. Mcfarlane's DC Multiverse line had probably the best year so year with a whole slew of figures that just kept on coming throughout the year! We got incredible character selections and sculpts from across the entirety of the DC universe with bangers like the Blackest Night wave, Speeding Bullet's Superman, and the mega fig Bane to name a few! There were a few figures we got though that left me wanting, that made me wish they had taken a different route to the figure's design or put in a little more work before releasing the final products we got. For this list I'm excluding any random repaints such as the silver and red White Knight Batman armor Azrael, and random variants such as the unmasked 'The Batman' Catwoman. (Image Source) Marvel's phase 4 is behind us, a phase that took things a little slower following the events of the Infinity Saga but still gave us a lot of epic stories and introduced a whole slew of new heroes and villains to the Marvel universe! The stage is set for phase 5, and with lots of exciting projects on the horizon (and projects I'm not as excited about) here is my ranking of how excited I am for each Marvel MCU phase 5 project! 12. Echo (Image Source) I thought that the character of Echo/Maya in Hawkeye was fine, she wasn't my favorite character in the series, nor was she an MCU character that I was particular hurting to have a solo series for. I am looking forward to seeing more of Kingpin and Daredevil, and I'm sure the show has the potential to be very good. (Image Source) Marvel's 2022 slate has wrapped up and overall another decisive year for Marvel with a lot of projects fans weren't as happy with, while others were great crowd pleasers! Phase 4 has come to a close, with phase 5 hopefully bringing in some tighter story telling and more satisfying projects overall. The Marvel Legends line has continued to run strong though, and while just about all of the projects on this list have had great representation in the toyline so far there are still plenty of new characters and designs from the MCU shelf of my display that I'm waiting to have fulfilled! Moon Knight: Arthur Harrow (Image Source) I could easily see this character being the next release in the Disney+ waves of figures from the Moon Knight tv show, which overall did leave a good taste in fans' mouths! We've to this point gotten Mr. Knight, Moon Knight, and Khonshu which are all fantastic figures, so it would only make sense to round out the display with Arthur ...

(Image Source) Andor has certainly been a surprising entry to the Star Wars universe with how great it has been! Consistently mature and outstanding story telling combined with amazing visuals and a whole cast of well fleshed out characters that make me honestly look at other tv shows I've been watching and wondering why they aren't as good! That goes for some recent Star Wars shows as well. Unfortunately, compared to the likes of Mandalorian and the recent Obi Wan Kenobi the offerings for this series have been slim so far but I'm hoping that picks up in the future and we can get some of the main cast members who have been excluded so far. I'm very excited for characters like Luthen and Vel to join the display, and with an incredible season 1 now behind it, these are my top 5 most wanted Hasbro Black Series figures from Andor! 5.
