Top 5 favorite Power Ranger Lightning Collection figures of 2022

Lightning Collection felt like it slowed down for the most part compared to least year, but we still got plenty of great action figures that I was happy to add to the display! 2023 is already looking to be a great year for the line with more Dino Thunder on the way and the completion of a few teams, but let's first take a look at what I personally consider my favorite 2022 Power Rangers Hasbro Lightning Collection releases!

5. Astronema
I wasn't that happy with the Astronema we got in the two pack with Andros. I was excited to have the figure in the line, but the body armor was clunky and the headsculpt wasn't all that great. This second version of the character pulls it off a lot better in my opinion, and the sculpted body suit works much better than the armor overlay we got before, not to mention the separate necklace accessory, and a headsculpt that matches the actress a lot more closely.

4. Pirantishead
Continuing to be some of the funnest characters in the line are the wacky, monstrous creatures that the Power Rangers fought each week! 2022 brought us one of the big ones from Mighty Morphin, that being Pirantishead, the monster of the week brought in to coincide with Zedd's introduction to the series! I love his fish aesthetic with the giant head, the scaly features, and plenty of great color detail throughout.

3. Wild Force blue ranger
Getting Wild Force in the line has been a big time want of mine since the line began, and while Merrick's Silver ranger release was plagued with inaccuracies and QC issues, Max's blue ranger came as near perfect and I've had a hard time putting his figure down since I got it. I absolutely love his helmet design, the inclusion of his signature weapons, and overall I hope this is what we can continue to see from the future Wild Force releases!

2. Ecliptor
Not only did we get a much improved figure of Astronema, but included in the same two pack was our first figure of Ecliptor who remains one of my favorite villains from across the franchise! The black and green detailing of his geometric design looks great as an action figure, and his articulation scenes allows him to pull off a lot of great poses.

1. Finster
A surprise hit for the line that I don't hear people talking about enough is the Finster figure from Mighty Morphin! The amount of awesome sculpted detailing put into this figure is immaculate and the figure has a menagerie of fantastic accessories that make posing a dream! He is packed with paint as well, not to mention an articulated jaw, and overall he is the pinnacle of what Lightning Collection can be capable of with these designs and characters!
