Top 5 most wanted Mcfarlane DC Multiverse based on the New 52 Superman comic series

I recently read through the New 52 Superman comic series and while I know many people have different opinions on it, I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. It was a neat telling of Superman, a different Clark Kent then we're used to in a different world, and the reimagining of many classic characters was interesting to see play out. The incredibly unique final few arcs were also something I didn't see coming at all, and I hope that while Mcfarlane Toys is focusing a lot on modern comics right now, they may look back to the New 52 with these five characters being my personal most wanted from the series!

5. Psycho Pirate
The Psi War crossover storyline with Action Comics was one of the bigger ones to happen in the series early on, and Psycho Pirate's inclusion was a complete surprise to me. This iteration of the comic was very different from before, and I loved the redesign he was given. The Medusa mask having true snakes this time around made for a striking image and if nothing else, it would make for an awesome looking action figure!

4. H'el
This villain was one of the biggies to come out of the New 52 run from what I can tell. His arrival onto the scene made for a very engaging story that followed, and it continued on as we saw him travel through time and interact with his creator and idol: Jor El. H'el's look was also awesome, with a long mane of hair, tattered clothes, and bare chested muscles that would make him one of the most unique looking kryptonian figures on the shelf.

3. Hector Hammond and HIVE queen

Going back to the Psi War, Hector Hammond is always a fun character to have around and his part to play in the storyline was great. The HIVE queen isn't a character I see a lot, but I enjoyed her in this comic series despite her bratty demeanor at times. Their feud was great to watch, as well as their eventual team up, and one image in particular I would LOVE love love as a figure would be the comic cover artwork depicting Hector Hammond in Superman's uniform. Now THAT would be a unique figure.

2. Ulysses
Possibly my favorite storyline of the series was the one that introduced Ulysses, and his partnership with Superman. Ulysses himself had an intriguing backstory and was fleshed out fantastically, especially when it came to him being reunited with his parents. The eventual plot twist of why he was on Earth was one I didn't see coming, and what followed was so tragic, turning Ulysses into one of the most tragic villains I've seen in recent comics. I would love to get this character in figure form, mane of blonde hair and all.

1. New 52 Superman
Topping the list is the title character himself. We've gotten quite a few Superman figures in the line so far; however, the New 52 suit remains one we haven't gotten. While elements were controversial, I actually like it quite a bit, especially the collar! The black S on the back of the cape was a nice touch as well, and the line can always use more Superman figures in it! While he wasn't the classic Superman we all knew before the New 52, this was still a really great version of the character and storylines like Superman: Unchained gave this version of the character truly time to shine.
