Most wanted alternate versions of McFarlane DC Multiverse established characters vol 6
Mcfarlane has of late has been powering through the introduction of new characters to their line of DC action figures! I'm so thrilled to see them better fill out the ranks of these incredible, varied, and popular characters, and as the line has also entirely embraced the idea of the Multiverse I'm already thinking about what alternate versions of these newer characters I want to see down the line! So like I've done five time already, these are my most wanted alternate versions of characters from Mcfarlane's DC action figure line!

Lobo has had a pretty standard look throughout the years, and I think that Mcfarlane really nailed a generic looking Lobo! The figure is large, imposing, sculpted to perfection with the tattered jacket, askew facial expression, and "Bite me Fanboy" printed on the back! Going forward, the only Lobo design I can think of being added next would be Death Metal's Batman who Frags! That would be a very fun figure, and another great addition to the display of alternate Batman amalgamations Mcfarlane has built.
We just recently got the reveal of Tim Drake's Robin from the Gotham Knights upcoming videogame as a figure and while it may not be his comic interpretation, it is still very cool to have a Tim Drake established in the line and we don't always see him as Robin anymore! In fact, I think the obvious next step for a figure based on Tim Drake in this line would be to utilize his Red Robin moniker and give us one of the final pieces of the action figure puzzle that is Batman's most famous sidekicks! And now that we have Tim Drake in the line as well, him being my prior most wanted for which Robin would come next, my next most wanted version of Robin would have to be Stephanie Brown! Her stay as Robin was short lived, and I would love for Mcfarlane to produce a figure either of her Robin costume or her most well known Spoiler design. With Grayson, Jason, Drake, Damien, and even Carrie Kelly all already produced in the line in some manner, that leaves Stephanie as the last famous Robin-mantle bearer to join the line.
While I know his recent appearances in Death Metal were probably a big push for this character to get a modern figure, I'm still thrilled to see Superboy Prime get an update and a great looking one at that! The character with his Anti Monitor armor has always been one of my favorite villain designs from the comics, and building on that I'd really like to see his Yellow Lantern corps design one day as well! The Sinestro Corps War is by far one of the grandest comic storylines DC has put out, and I loved Superboy Prime's inclusion in it.
Getting into a couple of gaming designs I'd really like to see the line tackle, especially as the videogame universes have had a pretty consistent presence in the line, the Arkham universe and Injustice universe both have designs I'd like to see next. While the Breaking Glass Harley Quinn does have a design I like a lot, the Arkham games are where I truly love the character and Arkham Asylum is definitely my favorite interpretation of the character. On the Injustice side of things, Reverse Flash is a design I've really been hoping gets made into figure form! I love the CW's version, but in terms of pure action figure appeal the lightly armored Reverse Flash would be epic and pair fantastically with the Flash we have from the games.
Delving into the world of Batman Beyond next, the Beyond universe got a surprising amount of love this year with a whole wave based on those characters! Coming up next, Blight for sure deserves his classic comic appearance even if Mcfarlane has stated that he isn't very enthused by it. It is very iconic and while not as cool as the armored comic look, it is what many fans think of. Inque on the other hand would benefit from any figure other than what we got, her mimicked form of Batman Beyond appeared in comics for one scene only, and while a clever repaint I think many fans deserve a true Inque.
While the boot choices made for this design of the character's Rebirth figure have maligned many fans, I think the fact that we've finally gotten a Superman figure with double jointed arms based on the Infected Superman mold is fantastic, boot choices aside. My next most wanted for Superman is without a doubt the Kingdom Come variation, which also happens to be one of the only famous Elseworlds stories that haven't been delved into yet. The older, grizzled Superman with the black chest emblem would be an insta-buy for many fans, and would lay to rest the rendition Mattel gave us.
These next two slots will be coming from the DC Rebirth era which has inspired a lot of figures that Mcfarlane has given us already. Wally West is one of the most beloved DC characters, and has been especially famous in recent years for his return post-Flashpoint! The animated version of the character we got is great; however, the main comics is where Wally truly shines for me and his Rebirth design is for sure a must for me. The Batman's Catwoman was an expected figure to celebrate the movie's release, and with Catwoman not introduced in the line I'm hoping for a comic version as well to go along with all the Batmen!
We've gotten two live action versions of the Riddler so far with Paul Dano's upcoming 2021 The Batman version, and the classic Adam West tv show interpretation of the character, and a third live action version I'd like to add to the collection would be the zany, wacky Riddler of Batman Forever. The movie wasn't a masterpiece, and this Riddler wasn't the mastermind seen in many of the comics, but Carrey's depiction was fun, recognizable, and would make for a stand out figure.
The Swamp Thing figure coming up from Mcfarlane looks actually perfect. It is large, loaded with sculpting detailing that in many cases hides the fantastic articulation, and with Swamp Thing's fairly consistent look in media it was hard to choose another version I'd want as a figure. I'd go with the 2019 show version for sure though. From a design standpoint this version of the character was a bit more stout, more blocky and dark, and from a character depiction stand point I absolutely loved how tragic and thoughtful they made the character for the tv world!
Mcfarlane is giving us not only one Lex which is based on his more standard green and purple body armor design, but also his blue super suit depicting the prophecy of his ruling of Apokalips. There's so many renditions of Lex Luthor in the comic and live action world that could be made, and one of the easiest would be taking the current Super Lex body mold and slightly retooling it with a new head and cape to give us a proper Rebirth era Super Lex. One that would also fit in nicely with a lot of everything else Mcfarlane has been doing would be Apex Lex seen throughout Hell Arisen, Doom War, and Death Metal! It is a figure I'm surprised we haven't gotten yet, and I'd happily pick up either of these looks.
