The Marvel Cinematic Universe is not slowing down at all after Endgame, and has in fact had some of their biggest projects in recent years such as Spiderman: No Way Home, and the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which looks to be another big hit! The MCU is literally exploding bigger than ever though because aside from the movies, we're now getting big budget, Disney+ series that focus on different characters from across the MCU, new and old! WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, What If...?, and Hawkeye have premiered and they've been a lot of fun so far, with highs and lows, but for the most part I think they have been a great addition to the world and I am interested in a lot of what's coming up! Who ever thought that NECA would be digging so deep into the original 80s animated TMNT television series? The depths to which they are fleshing out this cast are incredible, and I'm even looking at some of the recent characters and am needing to look them up to remember them from the show! That's no complaint on my part because I love the devotion the company is giving to this classic series, and since I last talked about this toyline from Neca we have gotten a lot more figures! Irma, Zach, Mutagen Man, Usagi, and the Neutrinos were all lined up on my last most wanted list and have become checked off at this point! Stargirl has easily remained one of my favorite superhero pieces of media and I am beyond excited for season 3! The show has a great energy to it that rides through fun moments but marinates in the drama and the suspense of whatever threat is occurring! Eclipso was a scary, fantastic villain for season 2 that really pushed our heroes to their limits, and season 3 looks to be an entirely other ball game in terms of challenges to surpass! Just like their Spongebob Squarepants line, Super7 has caught my attention with their line of Simpsons figures which is digging into some serious deep territory with this long running show! The Simpsons is hilarious, and like I mentioned already Super7 is really looking into the history of the show for some of their figures so far which I love! They aren't going for all the heavy hitters first, we don't even have any primary designs for the Simpsons themselves yet! We've got Bartman and Astronaut Homer! Mcfarlane's reveal of the Crime Syndicate build a Starro wave is perfection in my eyes! The Crime Syndicate and Starro have both been at the top of my most wanted lists for the line, and getting them all in one big swoop is a dream come true and I can't wait to see what the rest of the figures look like now that we've seen Ultraman! All these figures are based primarily on the 2021 limited run Crime Syndicate series which i enjoyed a lot, and I can't wait to read the upcoming "War on Earth-3" storyline that will continue the saga of Infinite Frontier's evil Justice League! 2021 for Star Wars the Black Series seemed to be a year dominated by Bad Batch and Mandalorian figures which I really have no place to complain about as I loved getting so much figure representation for those two shows! The surplus of other figures we got as well really helped to round out more of this galaxy and even delivered one character in particular that has topped my most wanted lists for years! So moving ahead with 2022 in full gear, these are my top 5 favorite Black Series figures of 2021! 5. Imperial Crosshair Without a doubt, my favorite portions of the Bad Batch show were the episodes dealing with the team confronting Crosshair who had turned to the side of the Empire! It made for a thrilling, tense dynamic between the characters and I was so happy to get Crosshair's imperial uniform in figure form to go along with the rest of the cast! The headsculpt is stellar, and just like with the standard Crosshair figure I love the collapsible rifle! (Image Source) 4. Moff Gideon

2021 was a big year for DC with the initiation of the Infinite Frontier era which has been a ton of fun so far! Before that we got the creative and risk taking Future State for January and February, not to mention lots of great tv shows and movies! Mcfarlane's action figure line has also continued to be one of the highlights of the DC fandom, and his support of recent media has been so exciting to have figures for stories I'm just reading! We've already been getting some figures for characters and designs from last year between the Infinite Frontier Robin, Future State's Dark Detective and Next Batman, amongst overs.
