Top 5 most wanted alternate versions of established characters in Star Wars the Black Series vol 2

Star Wars is delivering on a lot of big looks for a lot of big characters recently and it is great to see the action figure world of the Black Series getting filled out more and more for all of these great scenes and designs! Since writing my previous list of my most wanted alternate outfits for established characters in the line we now will be getting Ahsoka Tano based on her Mandalorian appearance, Echo based on his Bad Batch design (finishing out that team), as well as both versions of Boba Fett after armoring up once again in the Mandalorian (Both the dirty and polished looks)! As expansive as the universe is there are still plenty of great looks to be produced for characters we already have, and these are my top wardrobe picks!

Honorable mentions: Darktrooper and more Leia
The Darktrooper is technically another variation on the Stormtrooper, so I'm including it in this list but keeping it an honorable mention because of that technicality. It was an intimidating, formidable new design introduced for Mandalorian's season 2 and would be a great army builder for the line! Leia Organa is one of the franchise's legacy characters and we got one of her most important outfits recently with her Celebration gown from Episode 4! Luke and Han have nearly been completely filled out in terms of their costumes for the original trilogy and I hope Leia soon gets to that point as well with her Bespin gown and Endor gowns both two big missing looks!

5. Qi'ra (Kessel heist)
Holding over from the previous list is Qi'ra, who I've talked before about how the only action figure we have of this character is her look from the opening of the movie which takes place in the past! While it works well when paired with Moloch, we don't even have a corresponding Han and to that point no Qi'ra that really goes with the rest of the characters we have from the film!

4. C-3PO (Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones)
Another legacy character to include on this list is C-3PO, who has two big missing designs from the line at this point. We've gotten lots of his variations from Revenge of the Sith onward where he sported a primarily golden design; however, my preferred looks for the character actually come from the first two episodes in the saga! I really loved how grimy and dirty his designs were in those two films, which is such a stark contrast to how he later appears! The exposed wiring would be a sculpting dream for a figure, while his gray, grungy plated look from Attack of the Clones could even be an easy repaint!

3. Padme (Phantom Menace)
As incredible as Padme's outfits were throughout the whole franchise I have to give it to Phantom Menace for having my all time favorite designs for her character! Topping off my most wanted from her would be her iconic Theed gown as well as her battle jumpsuit during the climax of the movie, though I also love both of her handmaiden designs! To put it simply, Padme deserves far more than just 1 figure in the line which is what we have so far!

2. Maul (Clone Wars season 7)
This is a character so popular that he was one of the original four characters to be released! Despite this, he has barely received any figures since. The shirtless, comic book based design was really cool to get and I hope the Maul train keeps rolling with a figure based on his Clone Wars season 7 design! Clone Wars really helped the character shine and develop, with season 7 being one of the most perfect depictions of the character! He was scheming, scary, and definitely deserves a figure to go along with the season 7 Ahsoka we got, as well as to bring the Clone Wars era Maul to the shelf!

1. Luke (Crait projection)
The other figure who appeared on the list before who remains unmade in action figure form is Luke Skywalker is his biggest design I think the line is missing to this point! I know lots of people have lots of different opinions about Last Jedi, but the Crait projection scene with Luke remains one of the film's most iconic moments and I think for good reason! It portrayed Luke as the heroic Jedi everyone pictured him becoming after Return of the Jedi, and with 20 or so Lukes in the line already I think it is due time for Luke's Crait design to become reality in the Black Series!
