Ranking my excitement for upcoming Marvel Phase 6 Disney+ shows

Marvel's slate of television series heading into phase 6 of the MCU isn't as vast as the future seemed the last time I discussed upcoming shows, but that can be attributed to an effort on Marvel's part to focus on quality over quantity, plus I'm sure they're holding back on announcing too many things that would be coming out after the Avengers climax to the Multiverse saga. We've gotten A LOT of Marvel heroes and series that further build out the world and characters of the MCU, blowing it up moreso than Marvel fans ever expected to see this universe flourish I'm sure. Moon Knight, She Hulk, Ms Marvel, Ironheart, not to mention lesser known characters like Echo and Agatha, along with Secret Invasion, the return of Daredevil in Born Again, and the very fun Spiderman: Freshman Year. Even with all this there's still lots to come from the tv side of things for Marvel in Phase 6, and here I'll count down my excitement for each.

On Pause: Nova, Strange Academy, Terror Inc.

There's a few projects that have been openly acknowledged to be on pause from the Marvel team. Armor Wars has been converted to a film project that will come out at some point, and Nova as well has been put on the back burner for now. Strange Academy and Terror Inc. were projects we really hadn't heard anything about before they were mentioned as being on pause, but both would be very cool to see realized one day.

Eyes of Wakanda

The next upcoming series is the animated Eyes of Wakanda series, something that will excitedly flesh out more of the world of the Wakandans. I personally just haven't seen anything from the series that makes me more excited than other series on this list, I love superheroes being superheroes in costumes fighting supervillains, whereas this show seems to be more world building and Wakandan based.

Wonder Man

A lot of the recent shows have been about characters we've already been introduced to, like Daredevil and Ironheart, but Wonder Man will finally be introducing another new character to the universe. I personally know nothing about Wonder Man, but I'm interested in knowing more about him, seeing what his story is like, what villains he will face, and I like the actor playing him so I'm curious and excited.

Punisher Special

As good as Punisher's scenes in Daredevil: Born Again was, I did feel like it was a bit like he was just in it to be in it, predominantly to set up this project I feel. He was a blast to see in action again in Daredevil this year, and I cannot wait to see more of Frank Castle in a modern self-titled project.

Further seasons of Daredevil: Born Again and Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman

We don't get many season 2s for the Marvel Disney+ series but these are two shows which are getting relatively quick follow ups! Daredevil: Born Again is one of their best series so far and I'm very excited to see the story and the world continuing into a season 2, further telling the relationship and rivalry between Matt and Kingpin. While the animation of Spiderman: Freshman Year was the kind of stiff 3D CGI I don't really like, I loved the story and the character adaptations and I'm always down for more Spiderman.

Marvel Zombies

One of the biggest highlights from What If...? was undoubtedly the Zombies episode, realizing one of the most fan beloved ideas from the comics, that being a zombie outbreak in the Marvel world. The episode is still one of my favorites from the Multiversal show, and my only disappointment with the upcoming show is that the What If...? episode already adapted and killed so many of the principle characters such as Iron Man, Captain America, and so on. The character spreadsheets promoting the new series really feels like we're going to be watching a lot of the side heroes and newer characters with ones such as Jimmy Woo, Death Dealer, and even Shang Chi's best friend Katy taking center stage...and odd line up of characters. I am still looking forward to more zombie madness though!

Vision Quest

We are finally getting a follow up to the literal first Disney+ Marvel show ever, whose loose plot thread of the white Vision (Or Cataract, as I like to call him after his original project name, flawed white 'vision') has yet to be brought back up in-universe. With Ultron somehow returning in the series, Jocasta getting her MCU debut after I thought it would never happen, and the main character being one of the most superpowered beings in the MCU, I can't wait to see how this lost thread is finally resolved.
