Top Favorite Reveals from SDCC 2025
SDCC 2025 has come and gone with numerous reveals from toy companies going as hard as ever. With reveals from Hasbro, Mcfarlane, Jada Toys, and more it was truly a show like no other and one of the most exciting in recent years. So with the excitement of the weekend having passed and all the reveals out on the board, these are my top favorite SDCC reveals for the 2025 convention season!!
Mcfarlane JSA and Earth 2
Mcfarlane's line up of DC Multiverse reveals wasn't as vast as it has been in previous showings; however, that could very well be related to the approaching end of the line. Regardless, they still had several very exciting figures shown off including a classic Scarecrow, the more classic Static Shock fans have wanted, and for me the biggest were the newest JSA members in Dr. Midnite and Starman! Along with them we're getting our newest entry into the slowly growing Earth-2 display, this time being Dick Grayson as Batman...a figure I have made a custom of already but am very happy to have an official version for!
Black Series Qimir and Palpatine
Hasbro's Black Series line also didn't have a massive unveiling but what they did show off were quite exciting! Qimir was easily one of my most wanted figures in the entire line following his insane battles throughout The Acolyte, and Black Series has accomplished what may be the perfect action figure rendition of the character with an alternate helmeted sculpt, removable cloak, and his collapsible lightsaber! Along with him was a bomb two pack of Mace Windu (with two updated face sculpts) along with the prequel era Palpatine I've been hoping for from the Chancellor's office battle! Palpatine also comes with two headsculpts, capturing his pre-scarred and scarred looks, making this a must have pack!Hiya Toys Monster X, Tiamat, Behemoth, Warbat
Hiya Toys had a mighty strong showing with a host of figures we had no idea would be on the horizon! Skar King was an expected reveal, being the big bad of the latest movie and so far missing from the lineup (Mechagodzilla and Male Muto when?), but everything else revealed had my jaw dropped. The Warbat, Behemoth, and Tiamat from the Monsterverse were all designs I did not expect to see anytime soon and they all look superb, especially Tiamat! The biggest winner of the display for me though was Monster X, the first villain of the Millennium era for Hiya and he looks sublime.Jada Toys Invincible and Scooby Doo
Jada Toys has quickly made their mark on the figure community with stellar figures that excel in design and articulation, and their interviews have always been some of the most open and honest I've seen! With this show we finally got the monster reveals for wave 2 which include a very obscure Sea Demon, and then the Spooky Space Kook!! I am beyond ecstatic to see where this line goes next, and wave 3 has already been confirmed for Daphne's debut. It is impossible though to mention Jada Toys at SDCC without speaking on the bombshell reveal of the insane Invincible figures! With their prior announcement of the license it was an expected showing, but seeing the figures officially debuted is a whole other story, and from Conquest to Mark to Oliver I think we will be in for a special line of figures.
Yolopark Bayverse and AOTP Armada Nemesis Prime and Star Saber
I was not anticipating Yolopark to come out of the gates swinging knockouts with their display this year! Colored prototypes of AOE Drift and TFO final form Optimus as well as AMK PRO Tarn seem to confirm those three as next in line for releases, and beyond them we got the debut of the Beast Wars cast in the AMK series, as well as a menagerie of Bayverse unveiled for AMK PRO!!! I could not be more excited about this, especially as the upcoming ROTF Megatron looks to be their best in the line thus far! DOTM Megatron is a beast, 2007 Optimus looks perfect, 2007 Ironhide is one of the best designs from those movies, and freaking Blackout looks indescribable by words. Just perfect. On the Hasbro side of things they had plenty of satisfying reveals out into 2026 including an insane Titan Class AOE Grimlock with the promise of completing the rest of the AOE Dinobots this time around, but I was most excited about the continuation of the Armada cast not only with Nemesis Prime but a proper Minicon team forming the Star Saber as well!
