Top 5 most wanted Mcfarlane DC Multiverse female figures
The line up of female heroes and villains in Mcfarlane's DC Multiverse line of figures has been steadily growing over the past few years, certainly more so than they did in the first couple of years during the line, but there is still a major deficit when it comes to the female characters of the DC universe and there are more than a few who haven't been debuted in the line quite yet. With major heroines like Power Girl, Huntress, and Starfire coming out as of late, the tables are turning in a nice direction and this post will count down the female characters I hope to see finally come to the line next!
Honorable mention: Hawkgirl
As a major member of both the Justice Society and Justice League Hawkgirl has more than a few places she can nicely fit into the display, not to mention her major role in the pre-Dark Knights Metal line up of the Justice League. My only qualm is that I really haven't been a fan of the pre-posed, un-articulated, static wings that Mcfarlane has been using for wings now which really limits the in-flight posing ability of their flying characters.5. Poison Ivy
With the litany of Batman characters and villains in the line it is a bit shocking that Poison Ivy hasn't quite made the cut yet, especially being one of his top tier rogues. The closest we have gotten in the 7 inch DC Multiverse line has been the live action Batman and Robin design which now has achieved a hefty after market price. She's a must have for the line at this point, with so many comic book designs to choose from for her.4. Jessica Cruz
With the releases of Simon Baz and Guy Gardner we nearly have every single major human Green Lantern aside from very recent additions to the roster. Jessica Cruz out of all of the Green Lanterns may be my favorite because of her shocking backstory and the lengths she goes through to not only be a hero but to overcome her trauma at the same time. Her partnership with Simon Baz made for one of the funnest Rebirth titles, and with him in the line the stage is definitely set for Jessica to finally get a new figure too.3. Stephanie Brown
Batman's allies have enjoyed a nice helping of the DC Multiverse line with characters from Dick to Duke to Cassie and Azrael (and even live action versions of Alfred and Mr. Fox) being put out. One character still missing from the line is Stephanie though, Spoilers/Batgirl who at one point was the canonical fifth Robin. She's well deserving of a figure in the line whether it be her Spoiler or Batgirl persona they go with; however, her Batgirl look would match up well with the Batgirl version of Cassie we got.2. Black Canary
With Tom King's new Black Canary: Best of the Best comic currently hitting comic shelves there isn't a better time for Black Canary to finally receive a figure in the DC Multiverse line. She is easily one of the most requested female characters by fans, and would be a perfect candidate for the Collector's Edition line and its offering of multiple facial sculpts, a screaming portrait being a necessity. A modern Black Canary was one of the many figures shown off and ultimately cancelled by Mattel in the final hours of their DC Multiverse line so it would be very nice to finally have an updated Black Canary figure.1. Stargirl
With all of the Justice Society figures that have been being put out lately I am more and more eager to hopefully see a Stargirl enter the line at some point as well, being one of the most recognizable members of the team for the modern renditions, and also one of my favorite comic book heroes in all of DC. I would hope her stature would be made to be a shorter figure given her youth compared to other characters, but Mcfarlane's proclivity to scale everyone around the same heights makes me nervous. Nonetheless, Stargirl is definitely one of my most wanted characters across the line in total, and it would be a dream to also get a mega-figure S.T.R.I.P.E. to go alone with her!
