Top 10 favorite Mcfarlane DC Multiverse figures of 2025

2025 has come to a close for Mcfarlane's DC line, and it has been a bittersweet year. On one hand they were delivering constantly great action figures and an amazingly diverse range of character selections (who would've thought we would be getting Darkstars and  Malcolm Merlyn has non-Platinum main line releases?) but on the other hand we were delivered the news that Mattel will be taking back the license ownership. We will be getting figure through 2026 by Mcfarlane but after that the future is unclear of Mcfarlane's line will end in its entirety as Mattel takes over. Regardless of what the future brings, McFarlane's DC comics line of figures is still one of my main collecting focuses, and with a plentiful supply of amazing figures being released in 2025 this is my retrospective of my top ten favorite Mcfarlane DC Multiverse figures of 2025!

10. Kingdom Come Superman

It felt like it took longer than we should've to get one of the most iconic Superman variants in the line, but 2025 was the year we finally got Kingdom Come Superman and it was done so using the Crisis on Infinite Earths Superman mold which I still hold fast to as one of the best molds in the whole line! The colors are nice and muted, the chest symbol printed very cleanly, and the headsculpt portrays an older, hardened Clark. The only thing keeping this figure lower on the list is that it's a reused mold, a fantastic mold! but a reused mold from another year.

9. Powergirl

Another member of the Super family makes the list with Power Girl, a long overdue figure and one that came out great! She has a crisp sculpt, comes with one of the best Super Pets, and was immediately one of the most popular figures in the line upon release. Personally, I was most excited to have her to add to the New 52 Earth-2 display!

8. Guy Gardener

Coming out in the same wave as Power Girl was yet another long LONG overdue character, that being one of the best Green Lantern characters of all time! Guy's obnoxious, confident behavior has always made him a fan favorite, and the facial sculpts for the figure capture this attitude perfectly! While he does not include any power effects, Guy's figure matches up to his comic art very well, providing us with a great rendition in figure form.

7. Captain Cold and Mirror Master

It has taken far too long, but The Rogues have finally begun to get proper comic book figures in the line. The Power Girl, Guy Gardener, Captain Cold wave turned out to be one of the best ever for the line. The Page Punchers Captain Cold was retooled very efficiently to make a gloriously comic book version of the character was super fun facial sculpts and cold gun. Mirror Master reuses one of the best sculpts of the line, and continues the Rogues trend of having very expressive facial sculpts, with Mirror Master's green and orange being very vibrant, and his dual guns a ton of fun to pose with.

6. Extant

It is a common trend for fans to joke that Mcfarlane only does Batman related figures, but that couldn't be further from the truth, and Extant alone is one of dozens of examples of more obscure characters getting figure releases! I think the figure came out great and well represents his comic book design with the purple cape, a well fitting chest clasp, and a sleek head sculpt. I had been hoping for an Extant, and 2025 was the year!

5. Deadshot

This is a Collectors Edition release whose accessory count felt more appropriate for the increased price (or at least that's my self justification). Deadshot was another highly requested figure that retooled the Speeding Bullets Batman mold enough to be distinct but still have the great sculpt of that release. The multitude of wrist launcher pieces give a ton of posing options, and the bright vibrant colors give such a comic booky faithful appearance.

4. Monarch

Just like Extant, Monarch was another figure I had been hoping to see in the line but hadn't been holding my breath for. Not only that, but he seems to be comprised of an entire new mold!! The sculpt itself looks great, with the character jumping straight off the page for an impressive figure I'd been hoping to see a decent figure of for YEARS. For us to get both Monarch and Extant in the same year was dizzying, and I cant wait to see what other obscure releases we may get in 2026.

3. Hawkgirl

My anticipation for a Hawkgirl had lowered considerably after the Hawkman release did not have possible wings and instead released with a static pair that really limited posing. But lo and behold our Hawkgirl has fully posable wings and so the range of poses she can strike is considerable! She is one of those figures that it's hard to put down for the fun you can have posing her, and whether its in the Justice League or Justice Society, her and her Platinum Edition were excellent releases for the line!

2. Mr. Bones

Ive mentioned a few figures so far that I was not expecting to come out and was thrilled to have release, and that stands ever true for Mr. Bones above all! I had been convinced we'd get his modern depiction as a reuse of McFarlane's suit mold, but instead we went full on Infinity Inc with such a wonderfully zany comic book design! I LOVE that they produced this version of Bones and the head sculpt is excellent with the hollow eyes and bone detailing. The flair on his thigh high boots and gloves, as well as the red cape come together for great release that I absolutely love!

1. Cyborg Superman

I personally am a big fan of the New 52 Cyborg Superman design and really liked the figure we got of that version, but the classic version is one I was very excited to get and it blew me out of the water. It is one of those figures that purely feels like a perfect release of the character. The metallic sculpt and paint of the figure has an immaculate sheen to it, with an overall impressive range of articulation and an outright applaudable head sculpt that translates into my personal favorite Mcfarlane DC figure of 2025!
