Top 5 wanted Super7 Godzilla Toho Ultimates! figures from the Reiwa era

While Godzilla's Ultimates! line of figures from Super7 is still planted in Heisei, Super7 have been vocal about their plans for the future regarding branching into Millenium at some point, Showa in the future, but unless I've missed it I haven't heard much discussion about the Reiwa era. Minus One's Godzilla has been one of the most successful releases in the line so far to no surprise with how popular the film itself was, and as the first big official non-Heisei release in the line I hope to see more from this diverse era of Godzilla that's provided us with some very experimental designs and concepts!

Honorable mention: atomic breath Minus One

This is one that Super7 seems to have indicated will be on the way at some point with the reveal of their Charging Minus One variant and discussions about it being separate from a true Atomic blast version. While the standard Atomic blast Minus One Godzilla is something that will be more than welcome, I'd actually love to have a variant version from the ending of the movie where Godzilla is powering up, disfigured from the Japanese plan of defense, looking nigh demonic!

5. Godzilla Earth

Neither of the Netflix Godzilla projects really seemed to hit with mainstream fans, but there is no doubt about both providing lore rich new universes that experimented with the Godzilla idea. Godzilla Earth was a very cool sci-fy take on the big lizard, with a very muscular, thick design who I think deserves a bit more love.

4. Singular point Godzilla

Even as a big Godzilla fanatic, and an avid sci-fy fan, I will admit that most of the plot and story of Singular Point was a bit too complicated for me to get. But it was still a very cool new take on the story, with several impressive monster designs including one of the most heinous, unearthly Godzilla to take. Taking Shin Godzilla's concept of evolution to the next level, with an exaggerated final form (That tail! That jaw!) that will always lend itself to a cool action figure.

3. Megalon short film

These next two slots may be on the lesser likely side of things given that they aren't from mainstream projects, but I still think the recent short films deserve a lot more attention and certainly deserve some great action figures! The Megalon short film was the first time we've ever received an updated on-screen Megalon since his Showa incarnation and it easily is the coolest version of him capitalizing on a lot of his bug-like qualities.

2. Gigan Rex

My second favorite Godzilla short film alongside the Megalon short film was the Gigan Rex short film which is an absolutely killer battle with Godzilla facing several Gigan drones before the big red leader presents itself. With a striking design blending red and silver with a hint of purple, it continues the trend of Gigan having some of the coolest redesigns in the franchise, and with a Bandai Movie Monsters figure having been made already it seems Toho is aware of this design's figure potential.

1. Shin Godzilla

I most recently wrote a list about my most wanted Godzillas in Super7's Ultimates! line of figures and Shin Godzilla topped out that list, so there's no surprise that that design is topping out this list as well as the first major project of the Reiwa era that brought Godzilla back since the Final Wars film. I've discussed a lot of Godzilla designs that changed things up in new ways, and this Godzilla is definitely the first to really shake things up. The stubby arms, elongated tail, toothy maw, and crackled red scaling provided Godzilla with a freak of nature design that surely stood out. Not only can they make a figure of Godzilla's fourth form in the film but I would love his second and third forms as well, not to mention the fourth form's potential for variant releases of his atomic breath, atomic tail, and frozen variant with the evolution tail.
