Top 5 wanted Star Wars Micro Galaxy Squadron ships from the original trilogy
Jazwares new line of Star Wars scaled vehicles looks to deliver on giving collector's their own micro squadron as the line's name promises! The offerings that have been revealed so far look fantastic with collector level sculpt and paint, not to mention plenty of features for many of the vehicles like opening cockpits, landing gear, and removable panels when applicable with interior detailing! The original trilogy as expected has a strong presence in the line's first wave with classic starships like the Millennium Falcon and X-Wings accounted for, and here are a few more of my most wanted iconic ships for the line's future!
One of the first vehicles we see in A New Hope would be Luke's landspeeder that he takes out to search for R2 and later to Mos Eisley. It is easily recognized by fans and even got a premium release in the 6 inch scale Black Series! With the team at Jazwares already confirming that the escape pod from earlier in the film is coming in wave 2, this would go along with it nicely for a Tatooine display.
We've gotten Tie Fighters and X-Wings so the next big starship from the originals to add into battle scenes would have to be the Y-wings which we saw plenty of throughout the original trilogy! I'm a big fan of these starships myself and I remember pining for the expensive Lego version forever as a child!
Easily one of my most wanted vehicles from the original trilogy would be Jabba's sail barge from the third film, Return of the Jedi! It has always been one of the most iconic Star Wars vehicles to me growing up and a part of my personal favorite portion of the movie as I love everything that dealt with Jabba! The potential for interior detail is immense given the intricate inside of the vessel, and imaging a 1 inch scale Jabba to come with this ship is icing on the cake.
Speaking of scenes in Star Wars that are among my absolute favorite, the icy battle on Hoth is not only a favorite of mine but of all fans as the battle of Hoth is well known as one of the best battle scenes in the Star Wars franchise! The Snowspeeders that the Rebels piloted have always stuck out to me and I love their wider, flatter appearances! Not to mention the iconic vehicles they went up against...
I gushed over this Star Wars vehicle in my initial post talking about Jazwares Micro Galaxy Squadron line and I'm ready to gush all over again because the AT-AT ranks above all other Star Wars vehicles as my absolute favorite! I've always been enamored by these vehicles ever since I first saw the franchise as a child, and that love of these four legged Empire walker designs have not wavered a bit! So I would love to see them added into the line in the future!
