Top 5 most wanted Tamashii Nations S.H.Figuarts One Piece figures from the East Blue saga

One of the lines at Tamashii Nations that have been making the biggest recent splash has been their One Piece line of figures. The show is hitting an all time high of popularity, and S.H.Figuarts have been pumping out figure after figure to celebrate. The figures so far have been hailing from the Raid at Onigashima story arc, with three members of the Strawhat crew checked off as well as addition characters such as Kaido, Yamato, and Trafalgar Law! While the figures so far have looked great, there are lots of designs from all across the decades long storytelling that I'd love to see in figure form. Starting off with the first saga of the series, East Blue, these are the top 5 figures I'd like from the S.H.Figuarts line.

5. Strawhat pirates

Tamashii Nations is deep into building out a Wano arc of Strawhat pirates; however, I would absolutely love for the line to go back and give us these classic looks for the original five members of the crew! No doubt these are some of the most iconic looks for fans and would sell extremely well. For fans who are just getting into the show now thanks to its heightened popularity with the Netflix series, these would line up well with fans first starting the series!

4. Buggy

Some of the most iconic villains to the series were introduced in those first several arcs of the show. Fans easily remember these first villains that the heroes went up against, with Buggy being one of the very first. He was the first villain as well that they fought who had a Devil fruit, and his ability to split his body apart is one that could easily make him one of the funnest figures in the line if done correctly with  tight QC!

3. Smoker

One of my favorite foes in East Blue was introduced at the very end, a hardcore marine named Smoker who appeared nigh impossible for the Strawhats to face with his smoke powered Devil fruit ability. Something I really liked about his character is that while initially introduced as a hardcore marine, he turned out to not be a jerk like every other marine character we had been introduced to up to that point like Axe Hand Morgan. When a little girl accidentally dropped her ice cream on his pants Smoker made a short joke about it and gave her money to buy more ice cream! His abilities are ones that I hope get accessory pieces to re-enact in the line too, similar to the fire effects for Sanji's kicks!

2. Mihawk

One of the absolute best moments of the Baratie arc was the appearance of Mihawk! Chopping down Don Krieg's entire fleet with ease, riding nothing but a little dingey raft and armed with his monster of a sword. He went up against Zoro with one simple dagger, and left making a bigger impact on fans than the primary antagonist of the Baratie arc. To the point that he was included in the live action Netflix series, but Don Krieg was omitted aside from a cameo.

1. Arlong

Absolutely killing it as a villain in the series was Arlong, the leader of Arlong park, and the Arlong pirates. The fight against the Fishmen was one of the coolest arcs in the series, and really gave each member of the crew a time to shin as Usopp, Sanji, and Zoro all got to face off against their own Fishmen, Luffy took on Arlong himself, and the entire storyline revolved around Nami and her background. Arlong was the villain who really brought the crew together for the first time, and his design alone would make him deserving of an action figure!
