Most wanted Star Wars Black Series figures from each film vol 2

There are sides of the Star Wars franchise which sees more releases than others when it comes to what Hasbro's Black Series line puts out, and with the heavy focus on the Disney+ shows as of late we have seen less output from the films themselves; however, classic designs are still readily being pumped into the line and from each film in the franchise I'm still getting a lot of figures I want, such as Bodhi Rook from Rogue One, Celebration Luke and Ewoks from the original trilogy, and Dooku, Super Battle Droid, and Droidekas from the prequel trilogy! It has been a minute since I've looked at each film individually for what figures I want most, and this time around I'll be grouping them together by trilogy, with a section devoted to the spinoffs.

Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith: Watto, Shaak Ti, Saesee Tiin

2024 has been an epic year for prequel fans with so many iconic designs and characters finally getting their due in the line! Hasbro has stated that they've found that prequel figures do better as exclusive offerings rather than mainline items, so hopefully with that realization on their part they pump out more prequel figures similar to what we're seeing this year! Phantom Menace has definitely enjoyed a healthy helping of representation this year, and I'd LOVE a Watto figure with his unique alien design! Not to mention more prequel Jedi with Shaak Ti being a great addition in Attack of the Clones and one of my all time favorite Jedi designs, and then Saesee Tinn for my Revenge of the Sith pick with another cool alien design and a notable role in being one of the four Jedi deployed to arrest Palpatine!

Rogue One and Solo: Pao, Quay Tolsite or adult Qi'ra

It has been a minute from we've received products from either of the spinoff films in the Star Wars franchise, but I hope the line returns to these two movies soon because both Rogue One and Solo I loved and have such great characters and creature designs. Pao is a very cool alien hailing from Rogue One to better build out the Scariff climax display, and would necessitate a hinge jaw to articulate his massive yells. From Solo I am caught between two choices, with the alien Quay Tolsite being a very cool design that complements the Boba Fett Pyke soldiers well, and my other big choice would be the adult version of Qi'ra as she appears throughout most of the film. The figure we got was from the opening sequences on Corellia, and we don't even have a Corellian Han to pose alongside her.

A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi: Garindan Spy, Lobot, Nien Nunb

The original trilogy continues to be a wealth of product for the Black Series line, which makes sense as it is the most iconic of the Star Wars franchise, and the favorites of many fans. It is always a sure bet that original trilogy figures will be popular reveals for the line, and there are a few prominent ones from the original films that would make awesome additions to the line. From A New Hope I'm still waiting for one of my all time favorite aliens in the series to be immortalized in 6 inch form, that being the Garindan Spy! His boss battle in the LEGO Star Wars games solidified his importance to the franchise in my mind. Empire Strikes Back's celebration shocked me when Lobot did NOT receive a 6 inch Black Series figure along with everything else produced during that year. And from Return of the Jedi I am frankly surprised every time I think about the fact that Nien Nunb hasn't been represented in the line at all up to this point. General Calrissian was pumped out a while ago at this point (and still warms some Target shelves), and a release of a Nien Nunb would compliment that figure well.

Force Awakens, Last Jedi, Rise of the Skywalker: Unkar Plutt, Luke (Crait), General Leia

It has been a while since we've gotten anything from the sequel trilogy in the Black Series line, and I'm not sure when we can expect to see anything else new from that era of Star Wars; however, there are still a few characters and designs I'd love to see translated into plastic. Force Awakens is one of the best filled out films in the Black Series display, but one big alien character would be Unkar Plutt who would be very cool as an action figure. From Last Jedi I'm honestly surprised that we have not yet gotten a Crait Luke, given how iconic that scene has become, and it is the coolest that old man Luke ever was. Finally, from Rise of Skywalker I would love to get a General Leia based on her final appearances in the franchise. We've only gotten one figure of old lady Leia thus far, and she has much cooler looks to choose from that haven't been touched yet!
