Top favorite SDCC 2024 figure reveals
Honorable mention: Black Series pipeline reveals - Kelnacca and Commando Droid
While the legitimate reveals from Black Series were fun, with Dedra Meero and the Beskar armored Stormtroopers finally entering the line, I have to admit that the pipeline reveals were what got me pumped more than anything! a Commando Droid from Clone Wars is going to be such a sell out, not to mention Moff Gideon's Beskar armored suit, and my personal hypest pipeline reveals: Kelnacca! He and Qimir are my top two latest wants in the line following The Acolyte's airing, and we are at least getting Kelnacca checked off somewhat quickly! though why they chose to bring Bazil into the line first will forever baffle me.
5. Jada Toys Scooby Doo
A surprise to be sure was the Jada Toys reveal of a fully articulated, immaculate looking line of Scooby Doo action figures based on the original series! not only that, but the line is prioritizing the unique assortment of monsters and not solely sticking to the Scooby gang, with the projection to include 2 monsters to every 1 gang member in each wave! This is a line I didn't know I needed until this reveal, and I cannot wait to see where it goes next, and what monsters we will see in wave 2! Space Kook and Charlie the Robot are my top wants!4. Hammond Collection Scutosaurus and Stygimoloch
No huge grand reveals from Hammond Collection for SDCC (oh please, Spinosaurus some day!) but the reveals we got were fun. finally we are receiving the Stygimoloch in the line which is my personal favorite of the dome headed dinosaurs, especially with the crown of horns which look awesomely sculpted! on top of that a Scutosaurus was revealed which is a wildly random and off the wall choice for the line, but it looks gorgeous and I am here for it and any more obscure non-movie dinos they want to bring in!
3. GI Joe Road Pig and Raptor
As always the GI Joe team had a healthy showing of product reveals, including the magnificent Cobra Rattler; however, as I do not have the space for such an item this slot will fall to two bombdiggity looking figures in Road Pig and Raptor! in one go the Joe team seems to have beaten the Marvel team's efforts at a Falcon-like mech wing suit, and Road Pig is the epitome of Dreadnok awesomeness!2. Mcfarlane DC Multiverse
Mcfarlane did not reveal as many DC Multiverse figures for SDCC as I was expecting, but what they did show was quite exciting. Some great new releases like finally a main universe Cyborg, Red Hood in his Rebirth modern design, not to mention a wonderfully classic Hugo Strange as Batman!! On top of that the latest collectors edition wave is a good one with the New 52 Earth 2 Huntress to add to my Earth 2 display, and a genius army builder Green Lantern release to get several Lantern characters out there! the biggest surprise of all was easily the reveal of Joker movie figures, not just Joker himself but an entire Murray figure and playset too!
1. SHF Isidro, Shanks, and East Blue Zoro
The SHFiguarts present did not bring any new Naruto reveals unfortunately, but we did get the next figure in the Berserk line as well as TWO more One Piece figures! Isidro isn't quite who I expected to be coming next, but he looks great and the inclusion of Puck and Ivalera with him makes him even more of a must have. Shanks and East Blue Zoro, both from the pre-time skip era, look phenomenal and like some of the best releases in the line following Ace! Shanks looks like a perfect release with lots of accessories, swappable arm pieces, great soft goods, and even a kid Luffy! Zoro looks like an incredible apology for the sub part Wano Zoro that we got in the start of the line; extremely posable, packed with great facial expressions, and the definitive looking Zoro figure. It makes me even more excited for the line to continue seeing the constant improvements, and hopefully the focus on the pre-time skip era continues!
