Top 5 Favorite Star Wars Micro Galaxy Squadron ships of 2025

The next toyline I will be looking at for my 2025 retrospective will be the Micro Galaxy Squadron line from Jazwares representing a relatively in-scale line of vehicles from the Star Wars universe. In some ways I feel like this line has slowed since the original booming start of the line; however, I more chalk that up to the line settling in as a constant shelf presence. I will be looking forward to see how the line continues to evolve in 2026, but for now these are my top five favorite vehicles we got in 2025!

5. Tie Striker

Rogue One has been steadily getting some love from the line and that definitely escalated this year with the release of the Tie Striker (and another vehicle I'll discuss down the list). The design of the Tie Striker is another unique one for the Tie line and one I was very excited to get with its elongated cockpit and the very angular and aggressive looking orientation of its wings. My only qualm is the thickness of the wings themselves, which is not shared by many of the other Tie vehicle releases.

4. Tri-Fighter

With as many vehicle designs as the Droid army has in Star Wars I am frankly shocked to have not received more of them so far. The Tri Fighter was a very welcome addition that I was excited to add to the line, with its very vibrant blues and the triple curved design of the ship itself. The biggest thing holding back this release is the fact that it "needs to be a vehicle" and so was designed to have a cockpit despite the actual design having nothing of the sort, and this results in the sphere in the center of the droid being enlarged on one side in order to open to house a "pilot."

3. Tie Defender

This will not be the last Tie vehicle on this list, which goes as a testament for how many Tie variants are released each year in the line, as well as their overall quality. The Tie Defender was once my most wanted Tie variant in the line, and it came out looking splendid with its insane wing set up turning it into one of the most eye catching designs on the shelf.

2. ARC-170

The Clone Wars finally got another helping of love with the Arc-170, a great representation of one of the most iconic Clone ships in the Star Wars universe. Its expanding wing design was well achieved, and the detailing for the ship's turbines is one of the most impressive of the year.

1. Tie Reaper

While the Tie Fighters are typically known for smaller, more maneuverable designs, Rogue One brought out the beefy Tie Reaper which has been excellently captured in the line. I absolutely love these ships that act also as playsets, with multiple panels that can be removed revealing entire areas of the ship, and this ship itself just has such an intimidating shelf present. The horizontal layout of the wings makes it feel like such a blanket amongst other ships, and it easily pairs up with the U-Wing from Rogue One as two of my favorite ships in the line overall!
