NECA's stamp in the TMNT toy history keeps on chugging as Toyfair showed off a ton of new figures for their 1980s cartoon line! So many long awaited figures were finally revealed like Splinter and Baxter Stockman, as well as a completed Android Krang after the tease we got a while ago. Also on display were multiple versions of the Triceratons, the first of which was revealed a while ago too. Suddenly, my vol 2 of most wanted figures from the old show has been checked off nearly completely and I've got a vol 3 here with another top 5 of my most wanted figures from the original TMNT 1980s cartoon! With the rate NECA has been going, I won't be surprised to have these figures all out by the end of the year too!

5. Rat King
There aren't a whole lot of human characters so far in the line and I think that would help this character stand out a bit in the grand scheme of the figure line up. He was also an interesting villain to have appear on the show, and his outfit is one I'd like to see NECA do with all of the wraps and stitches, especially the two wraps randomly going around his nose and forehead. The figure would also have to come with some rat accessories, because of course.

4. Punk Frogs
These characters would obviously take a bit more effort to do given that there are four of them rather than being just one character like the rest of the slots on this list, but I think it would be worth it. The Punk Frogs would be awesome allies to pose alongside the turtles given that so much of the line is becoming villain dominated! They would also be a deeper cut than a lot of the stuff we're getting already, which would be awesome to see NECA start delving into!

3. Muckman
I didn't have a lot of the figures from the original show but one that I did was Muckman! I thought he was an awesome concept and design with him being made up of garbage. All of the different banana peels, rotten apples, the sewer grates would be awesome designs for NECA to capture throughout the putrid body; and of course he would also have to come with Joe Eyeball to hang out in the garbage pail on his back.

2. Usagi Yojimbo
This is another ally of the turtles who would also be awesome to see in the line, and is also the only character from the previous list to still be around after all of NECA's reveals! Getting a mutated, giant rabbit wearing samurai clothes with a samurai sword would be awesome for the line and I'm open for whenever NECA wants to reveal him.

1. Mutagen Man
The other figure from the original show that I had was Mutagen Man, a pretty horrific TMNT villain that was a collection of vital organs held together in a life support body! Having the brain, head, eyes, and other body pieces floating inside a clear body piece would be an amazing figure no doubt from NECA and I'm really hoping that with all the other villains we're getting from the show, Mutagen Man will follow along as one that we get!
