Top 5 most wanted deluxe Star Wars Black Series figures

A few weeks ago at NYCC we had the reveal of the the Black Series 6 inch scale General Grevious, and with him we had the announcement of a new line of $30 Black Series figures for larger characters who don't fit into the $20 price point. For me, and I bet a lot of other collectors out there, this is awesome and will hopefully lead to several larger characters easily making their way into the line through this new outlet. There are several characters who could fit in this price point, and as always, I have my thoughts on who I want to see in figure form. This time, I'll be talking about the top five characters I want to see in Black Series' new $30 price point.

5. Moroff
First off is a character from Disney's era of Star Wars movies, being Moroff. An alien relegated to the background of Rogue One's Jedha scenes, Moroff was part of Saw's extremists and could be seen with the other members of the group, standing out as a huge, white furred beast with some kind of respirator on his face. Its an alien design that stood out to me, and with this new price point there is strong possibility that he could be brought into the line now. With a figure already produced in 3.75 inch scale, he already has one big foot in the plastic world, he just has to edge his massive form into the 6 inch scale now.

4. Hermi Odle
Appearing in the background of Jabba's palace, Hermi Odle was one of the many denizens who populated the dank palace and another larger form that benefits from having a line dedicated to larger figures. On first glance, this character could be described as disgusting, but on second glance that can be rectified to say grotesque. This alien looks gross, with tattered clothes and a slobbery tongue hanging out of an egg-like head. This doesn't sway me from him though, in fact, it helps the character to stand out even more and truly makes Jabba's palace feel like it was inhabited by the worst scum of the galaxy. Like Moroff, Hermi has received a 3.75 inch figure in the past, and just needs to make the leap to 6 inch now.

3. Therm Scissorpunch
Solo and Rogue One both had a lot of neat alien designs, and both movies get a spot on this list for an alien from each of their movies. For Solo, that alien is Therm Scissorpunch who was revealed early into the film's marketing and was present for that first round of Sabacc between Han and Lando. With a crazy name, and looking like a giant, humanoid hermit crab, Therm is destined to be known as a Star Wars alien, and deserves a figure to go along with his campy legacy.

2. Ephant Mon
I've included Ephant Mon in another list on this blog, and so when the chance arises where he specifically has a shot at being made its a no brainer that he would be included. Easily one of my favorite aliens in the Star Wars franchise, Ephant Mon is another character from Jabba's palace and one that I have had the 3.75 inch figure of since I was a little kid. Now that there is a 6 inch line for characters like him, I'm more eager than ever to get him in larger scale with the premium quality that Black Series has improved upon year after year. The elongated mouth, spindly hair, and massive hooves all lend themselves towards making a spectacular figure.

1. Droideka
This is a figure that I always thought would work at the $20 price point but recently I think it would be more likely to get it at the $30 price. The Destroyer Droid was a big droid in the movies with a lot of moving parts and mass that push it towards the $30 price, and if that's what it takes to make it perfect then I'm ready to pay it. While all the other entries on this list were aliens, droids are another underrepresented part of the Star Wars universe when it comes to Black Series, so having the chance at getting a Droideka would be a chance I snatch up without a second thought. If they manage to make the figure roll up into a ball like in the movies, then that would make getting this figure even sweeter.
