Top 5 most anticipated upcoming Mcfarlane DC Multiverse figures
Mcfarlane line of DC comics action figures is growing at an exponential rate and while 2021 is only a few days in, we've already had a slew of figures revealed for this year with no doubt many more waiting to be shown. I've mentioned many times how this line has become one of my all time favorite action figure lines and for sure a break out hit of 2020, with the figures improving with every wave, not to mention an incredible choice of characters with awesome designs from all across the DC multiverse which for the most part had never been done in figure form! 2021's line up so far looks to continue that trend, giving us lots of figures who have never been done before, and out of what's been revealed these are my top 5 most anticipated Mcfarlane DC Multiverse figures of 2021!

While I don't think this figure has been officially acknowledged by Mcfarlane himself, pictures of it came out months ago and the box for the figure has even been spotted in the background of one of Mcfarlane's videos! The reveal of this figure lead me to read the Rebirth era Red Hood and the Outlaws, which immediately made Bizarro one of my most wanted out of the figures that had been revealed. I loved the series overall, especially the dynamic between Red Hood (who we already have), Artemis, and Bizarro. It also looks to reuse the fantastic Infected Superman body mold, which is for sure the best Superman mold in the line so far.
The Death Metal wave of action figures is one of the latest to be revealed by Mcfarlane and I love it when they do themed waves like this. Wonder Woman was one of my absolute favorite parts of the Death Metal event and I loved her design in the series, especially the blue highlights in her hair, the cape, and the added chainsaw accessory is awesome. It for sure looks to be the best Wonder Woman figure to be released by the line so far.
One of my favorite Elseworlds tales of recent years is the Last Knight on Earth miniseries which saw a dystopian future where heroes have been taken down by the common people, and a mysterious ruler called Omega has control. To be getting a wave based off this event is great especially as it covers essentially every major player from the series, but that Batman figure is one I'm really looking forward too and I'm so thrilled that they decided to go with the famous straight jacket look from the first issue. I love how unique and different it is, and the added inclusion of Noggin is icing on top of the cake.
This was one of my favorite designs to come out of the previously mentioned Last Knight of Earth miniseries so to get it in figure form alongside the rest of the wave is fantastic. It is such a distinct look for the character of Scarecrow, and unlike anything else the line will probably do. Missing legs, a chest full of exposed organs, a horrifying visage hidden beneath the bag on his head, and the intensely spindly finger add ons make for a figure I'm really looking forward to.
After a long time of collectors complaining non stop about the line being primarily Batman focused (which I had no problem with because the figures were really well done and unique) this figure seemed to be in direct response to that. We're getting a freaking Gorilla Grodd! The figure looks huge, monstrous, armored up, and incredible to put it simply. Not only that but it signals the first of two Injustice 2 figures to be added to the line and I can't wait for that game series to be delved into further. Gorilla Grodd has always been one of my favorite comic book villains, and an armored look of the character hasn't been captured before in figure form so I'm truly excited for this figure above all others that we've seen so far!
