Top 5 wanted Mcfarlane DC figures based on the 2019-2021 Batman/Superman comic series
One of the most fun comic series that I've read in a long time has been the 2019-2021 Batman/Superman series by DC comics! It was nothing world shattering in scale, no huge crossovers, nothing really essential to the DC universe in terms of reading (although that end teaser was very interesting), but it was just pure fun with wildly different storylines every few issues that kept me enthralled! It was a great way to showcase random villains of DC's picking, and the friendship between the title characters is always entertaining to read! So with Mcfarlane having already dipped his toes into this series a little bit (Infected Superman and King Shazam), these five figures are my next most wanted going forward!

Yes, this would be just another version of Superman and Batman for the shelf; however, I'll say that when these costumes were first revealed I actually really liked them. The entire ending storyline we got for the series was incredibly meta and fourth wall breaking, and the interactions between the incredibly grim Batman and overly optimistic Superman from these fake worlds was a delight! The shield insignia for Superman is great, and the drawn in wing joints for the bat on Batman's chest really stands out!
Ok yes, this is another Superman and Batman; however, this would be our first Superman and Batman! The composite version of these characters has been around for a bit in comic history, and made a recent reappearance in this comic series as an AI looking for its true meaning after being created by the titular twosome! It looked awesome, the storyline was fun, and this would be one unique version of both characters for the shelf.
We've gotten a start on the Secret Six already with King Shazam, but he is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this awesome group! Blue Beetle has never looked more intense than his Scarab transformation, along with Supergirl's metal redesign, and Hawkman's look as Sky Tyrant being my personal favorite looks from the group! Along with them, Donna Troy joined this short lived group as well, along with an infected Commissioner Gordon!
This is a classic villain from the days of the Golden Age and JSA history! I absolutely love the Ultra Humanite as a villain and was so excited when I found out that he was the primary villain in one of the comic's storylines! He looked cooler than ever, with his gorilla form outfitted with new, red cybernetics that gave a rich mixture of colors. Whether as a larger standard figure, or a mega figure, Ultra Humanite would be a really great cut of comic history for the line!
One of my favorite Superman villains of all time got to appear in the comics series as the second storyline following up from the series' premiere arc! I've really enjoyed him whenever he appeared in the comics, and that goes for this series as well which retained his drive to protect Krypton and all its surviving inhabitants. He is almost as classic as Lex and Doomsday when it comes to foes of big blue, and with his newer armored up look he has had since the start of the New 52 I can say that Mcfarlane would knock it out of the park giving us what might be our first real comic based General Zod action figure!
