Top 5 wanted Mattel Jurassic World prehistoric marine reptiles
The introduction of the Mosasaurus into the Jurassic World movies really brought a lot of attention to the prehistoric life forms of ancient Earth; however, Mattel's Jurassic World line has still been slow to really pump out a lot of the different creatures that used to populate the Earth! I can nearly count on one hand how many marine reptiles of olden days Mattel has made, with recent figures like Elasmosaurus and Dakosaurus finally putting us over the count of less than five. The Jurassic World Evolution 2 videogame has featured several prehistoric marine reptiles which I hope means they're at least on Mattel's radar to eventually get to!
5. Shonisaurus
The Shonisaurus is the first of five that I will be breaking down in this list, and one that would be very welcome into the line. Its body is vaguely similar to creature types like Kronosaurus; however, differs with its more oval appearance, and the thin, long mouth ahead of its body.4. Ichthyosaurus
Arguably the most iconic marine reptile out of the five on this list, the Ichthyosaurus had a unique design with its round body, pointed snout, fin, and would add a new branch of marine reptile species into the line which has primarily been dominated by those similar to Kronosaurus and Plesiosaurs.3. Archelon
I can just imagine how cool it would be for the line to produce a figure of a giant prehistoric turtle. I would be so unique from a lot of the figures they've put out up to this point, and it would bring attention to more of the various species types that populated the oceans millions of years ago!2. Dunkleosteus
Speaking of different species types from what we've been getting, the Dunkleosteus would fit into that category perfectly. A huge prehistoric aquatic creature, the Dunkleosteus had two powerful bone cleavers for a mouth in place of regular teeth, and its impressive size made it formidible in Earth's ancient oceans.1. Styxosaurus
While I know this whole list I've been touting about creatures that are different species types that what we've gotten already, there is a truly novel draw towards those iconic creatures like Plesiosaur. I was extremely excited to get Elasmosaurus in the line last year, and Styxosaurus would be another fantastic addition to that species type on the shelf. I absolutely love how absurdly long its neck is, and the slight fin ripples along its elongated neck are all the more unique for this lengthy creature.
