Top 5 most wanted GI Joe Classified figures vol 6
GI Joe's Classified line from Hasbro has only continued to ramp up, putting out some of the best action figures on the market at the moment and the cast of the universe has expanded greatly on the shelf. It seems like the team at Hasbro are barreling through their list of characters to do, and the brand is bigger now than ever thanks to the Skybound Comics' excellent new runs for the GI Joe universe and characters. While a lot of my biggest wants have only been confirmed in name only (hopefully with prototypes soon to be revealed) we know we're getting Alpine, Raptor, Blowtorch, and Road Pig! With this only the tip of the iceberg for this year, I've got a new list of my top 5 most wanted GI Joe 6 inch scale figures I hope to see soon!
Honorable mention: Wild Weasel
With characters like Joe's Airborne being added into the line, it would make sense for Cobra to get more of their aerial combat troops as well (I LOVE the Trubble Bubble); however, I'm not sure if they would give us Wild Weasel without his flight vessel. He was seen essentially never without it in the original cartoon series, but he appeared so frequently that he became a staple of the Cobra team for me and I hope to have him included in the line one way or another!
5. Ambush
The only holdover from the previous list, Ambush has me excited for his accessory options more than anything. A poncho and a whole tent set up for his camouflaged stake outs are all a must, and with Doc coming with a whole stretcher at the standard price point I hope that means that Ambush would be do-able with all that at the standard price point too.
4. Deep Six
Another Joe who would be a welcome addition to the line would be Deep Six, one of the underwater combatants on the Joe side who would fit in nicely with the Eels we've gotten as well as Torpedo! This guy I can definitely see being released as a deluxe figure due to the size of his suit; however, the sculpting detail that the team could put into his design is something I'm really looking forward to seeing in 6 inch scale! And no doubt he would be quite unique on the shelf.
3. Monkeywrench and Thrasher
We've steadily built out our Dreadnoks display since the line began, and with Torch releasing soon and Zandar confirmed to be coming down the pipeline we've nearly completed our 80s OG cartoon team! At this point all we're missing are the two Noks who joined up in the second season of the series. Monkeywrench and Thrasher. While Monkeywrench (and his harpoon gun) would be more of a standard release for the Dreadnoks, Thrasher certainly has to come with his epic Thunder Machine (and lacrosse stick). With the line delving more and more into vehicles as of late I think it is the perfect time!
2. Lifeline
One of the standout characters of season 2 for me was Lifeline, a Joe medic who absolutely refused to partake in violence. His striking red and white attire is something that would light up the Joe side of the display, Doc is a great start to the medic side of the Joe/Cobra conflict, and Lifeline would be another great addition especially with plenty of other season 2 Joes seeing releases lately like Dial-Tone, Leatherneck, and Lowlight!
1. Sci-Fi
Yet another character from season 2 of the original series that I want to see adapted next would be Sci-Fi, a bonafide nerd in GI Joe which is something I can easily relate to with his character. Seeing him lead Sgt. Slaughter through a comic-con in the original series was one of my favorite moments, and beyond his awesome personality his design is a striking one. The neon green is nearly gaudy, with the silver combat armor doing its best to try and balance things out!
