Top 5 most wanted updated G1 Transformers figures vol 5
As could be expected, G1 has remained a strong presence in Hasbro's Transformers line and so many iconic characters and designs have been fully filled out with the modern toyline. The whole Dinobots crew, all three Insecticons, pretty much the entirety of the principal cast, and while the amount of G1 we're getting each year has dwindled it is still something that we can always expect to see fill out waves, and this list will be counting down my next most wanted G1 Transformers figures!
5. SixshotThe most recent adaptation of this character that we got was pretty good; however, a Commander Class version of Six shot would be epic to capture all of his Transformations as well as his massive size. When next to Cyclonus he towered over his fellow Decepticon, and Cyclonus is easily one of the largest Voyager figures in years! An easy fan favorite despite his tragically short screen time, Sixshot would be an engineering delight to see in the line again.
4. OutbackAppearing shortly in season 3 of G1, I always really liked the Australian Autobot who accompanied Blaster for a time. There's still a fair amount of more iconic mini bots to be checked off in the line, but with how obscure the line has been going as of late I have high hopes that someone like Outback can get an updated figure if someone like Devcon can!
3. OctaneAnother multi-changer due for an update would be Octane. With all the primary triple changers checked off at this point, and Springer even receiving an upcoming update from Studio Series, it is high time that some of the season 3 triple changers were rounded out in this modern age of Transformers. Sandstorm just got a banger of a figure update, and his buddy Octane will hopefully not be too far behind!
2. PowerglideI had mentioned the Autobot mini bots earlier in this list as characters that still had a ways to go to fully finish out their display, and one sorely missing would be Powerglide. A charismatic flyboy who debuted in season 2 of the show, he is one of the few Autobot planes outside of the Aerialbots, and was known for his stunt flying. His wings ending up along the side of his torso in bot mode would be a fun bit of engineering to differentiate him from other plane Transformers, and a detachable head would be great fun to recreate the above image from the Cybertronian depletion episode!
1. SeasprayYet another major mini bot missing from the current ranks of Hasbro Transformers line is Seaspray, another season 2 addition who added some much needed diversity to the alternate modes of the show with his boat form. His gurgling voice and romance with a mermaid made him a memorable character, and that along with his unique alternate mode would make him a great figure to finally get in the collection as an updated release!
