Top 5 most wanted NECA 1980s cartoon TMNT figures
Seemingly out of nowhere, NECA has handed fans a full line of figures representing the 1980s cartoon television show about the Ninja Turtles. Wave 1 gave us the four turtles, Shredder, Foot ninjas, and Krang with several other figures already revealed to be on the way such as Bebop, Rocksteady, Leatherhead, and Slash. The line is running strong, but there are still some characters that haven't been revealed that fans would love to get in this format. Here are the top 5 most wanted 1980s cartoon TMNT NECA figures that I want next in their new line!

5. Metalhead
4. Casey Jones
3. Baxter Stockman
2. Splinter
1. April O Neil
She has been a constant fixture in the Turtles' universe for just about every new incarnation. Always the fiery reporter that helps the Turtles save the day in some way, April is as integral to the cast as characters like Casey and Splinter. Her bright yellow jumpsuit would look perfect in this cartoon aesthetic next to the other figures in the line, and would do good to further fill out the cast.

5. Metalhead
With Slash and Leatherhead, NECA has already started to delve into the lesser known characters of the show and one that I think should be included in the lineup is Metalhead. A robotic turtle that caused a lot of mayhem for the Turtles, and who would look great as a figure. Not many other lines can boast a big robotic turtle.
4. Casey Jones
Speaking of Casey Jones, he is another character who has gone on to be a recognizable figure in the Ninja Turtles universe. His signature hockey mask and the bag of randomly assorted sports tools that he uses for fighting purposes is synonymous with the character, and would offer up plenty of great accessory options for this figure. The original cartoon Casey was also just a plain fun character, and in cartoon fashion is colorful and fun enough to deserve a spot in this line.

This is another character who has appeared a few more times in other versions of the Turtles universe. This character's design is also begging to be released in the line as a figure, I mean, he is a giant fly man wearing a sweater vest and a tie! I love this character's design, and hopefully he is included somewhere in the line soon.
With all of the characters that have thus far been revealed, one that I'm surprised is still absent is the Turtles master and father, Splinter. This rat is the one who taught them everything they knew, and from an action figure stand point, a giant cartoon rat would look very awesome. This characters importance in the lore cannot be ignored, and sooner rather than later he deserves a spot in the line.
