From very early on in the Power Rangers Lightning Collection line by Hasbro we've seen that the comics are not being ignored at all! We've gotten two awesome versions of Drakkon already, along with a stellar Ranger Slayer figure and Psycho green! The comics have a slew of amazing stories, great characters, and incredible designs that would make superb figures so I'm glad that they've been a constant part of the line so far, and with the line seeming to flourish more and more as time goes on I'm narrowing down my top 5 most wanted comic based Power Ranger figures by Hasbro! Starting with WandaVision and continuing with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the MCU has dove into big budget, interconnected tv shows that will tie in directly in some instances with the movies. From the start of Mcfarlane's time with the license to make DC action figures he has made it evident that he aimed to include larger sized action figures that would dwarf the standard sized figures in some cases! We've seen that already with early examples like the Hellbat armor, along with the Devastator figure a few months after that. Gorilla Grodd is on the horizon, but the reveal of an entirely new "Mega scale" price point with Darkseid and Steppenwolf as the debut figures opens an entirely new option for deluxe sized figures. The big time visitation by Hasbro of the Beast Wars Transformers era has been a highlight for many Transformers collectors when looking at the last few years of the toyline. The dramatic shift to something distinctly not G1 in the generations line has been embraced by fans who have been wanting to see something new for a while, not to mention Beast Wars itself being very beloved. It's got me hoping that Hasbro will soon revisit other series in the Transformers history to update with a line of new figures, granting modern advancements in design and sculpting to older characters who may have received any figures since their original release! One such show I really hope is reinvigorated with new figures is Transformers Armada, the show I grew up on, that is majorly nostalgic for a lot of fans these days! I've talked about the figures I want Mcfarlane to do most from the upcoming The Suicide Squad by James Gunn, and now I'll be taking a step back and look at the first Suicide Squad movie that released! It was a major landmark for the team and the property, making them common knowledge to most people and the general public, rather than a more obscure comic book team. The recent wave of focus given to army builders from Marvel Legends line of figures has got me thinking about the potential army builders that exist within the DC universe and how awesome it would be to build large groups from the world of the Justice! DC's line wide, major event Future State came to a close recently and while I know it wasn't everyone bread and basket, I greatly enjoyed the slew of stories, new timelines, and new characters we were introduced to! The glimpses of what to come were so fun, many of the stories were short but sweet, and I hope to see some of Future State's titles continue in some way like the upcoming Future State Gotham, The Next Batman: Second Son, and Wonder Girl titles!
