Top 10 most wanted Mcfarlane DC Multiverse Future State figures

DC's line wide, major event Future State came to a close recently and while I know it wasn't everyone bread and basket, I greatly enjoyed the slew of stories, new timelines, and new characters we were introduced to! The glimpses of what to come were so fun, many of the stories were short but sweet, and I hope to see some of Future State's titles continue in some way like the upcoming Future State Gotham, The Next Batman: Second Son, and Wonder Girl titles! One the toyline side of things Mcfarlane has been no stranger to modern DC stories, and with an event as big as Future State just taking place I hope he jumps into it the same way he has other stories like Dark Knights, Last Knight on Earth, and Death Metal! I couldn't limit this list to just 5 slots, so here are my top 10 most wanted Mcfarlane DC Multiverse Future State figures!

10. Red X
I have always been a fan of the original Teen Titans cartoon, and Red X was one of the best ideas to come out of it. The introduction of the character into the comic book world was long overdue, and it was great to see him in the pages of the Teen Titans Future State! While much of who he was was a mystery, the character is going to be an almost central factor to the upcoming Teen Titans Academy comic, and I hope all this new fame and focus the character is getting leads to a figure.

9. Justice Squad
The fake and second tier Justice League of earth 3 from the Suicide Squad Future State title was a ton of fun to read about and learn about, with Conner Kent being the only real superhero on the team. Aquaman was the Fisherman, Martian Manhunter was Clayface, Wonder Woman was Hypnotic Woman, and that just appeals to me so much that the team is just a bunch of villains playing hero on Waller's whim!

8. Cybeast
This was a design that shocked I'm sure everyone when they first read the Teen Titans storyline, and it isn't something greatly explained in the pages of the event; though I'm sure present day comics will eventually elaborate on what happens. Nonetheless it was one of the most unique designs to come out of Future State, and an action figure based on this fused version of Beast Boy and Cyborg would be unlike anything Mcfarlane's done before!

7. House of El: Clark Kent
This isn't a design that sees a lot of use in the event. It appears first during the Immortal Wonder Woman comic before returning once again in the House of El issue, but it's a design for Superman that I really like. An older, wiser Clark with the graying hair, the beard, and the cape draped over the shoulder with the rope tying it on just looks so regal!

6. Corrupted Raven
After reading Future State week to week, I was honestly pleasantly surprised to find that many of the titles were directly leading into each other! Flash lead into Teen Titans which lead into Shazam which lead into Black Adam! It was so fun following these storylines and finding out how they intersected with one another, but surely one of the most tragic events was Raven becoming corrupted and turned into a monstrous version of herself. As soon as I saw her burst from the prison Shazam had been holding her in, formed into her new devilish design, I knew I needed a figure to represent it.

5. Superman: Worlds at War
While we didn't get a whole lot of gladiator Superman in the event, its a design that stuck out to me and I think has become one of the more iconic Future State images thanks to its heavy use in the marketing. The Superman shield being chained to his chest is so hardcore, and beyond those battle scenes I purely loved the storyline on earth of the girl exploring the memorials and amusement centers that have sprung up for Superman in the wake of his vanishing.

4. Nightwing/Deathwing

The Nightwing Future State comic is one that I actually really really liked. I dug the entire tale of Nightwing leading a resistance against the Magistrate, and ultimately teaming with the new Batman to repel a massive attack on him. Nightwing's superhero costume has always been one I liked a lot, and it only got cooler in Future State with the chip strap, and layered look to his emblem! Staying on Nightwing for a moment, his new costume in the Teen Titans storyline seeing him blend his uniform with Deathstroke's was awesome as well!

3. Barry Allen with the Rogues' gear
While I know a lot of people didn't like the Flash Future State very much, I thought it was a fun little story but the biggest stand out point for me had to be the Flash family utilizing the weapons of the Rogues! One of my favorite Future State moments was Barry using his brain in order to make a new suit comprised of the Rogues' weapons in order to battle a speedster, something that made for an awesome spectacle and would also make for a great figure!

2. Dark Detective
This is a figure I know a lot of fans have been asking to be made following the conclusion of Future State, and I get it because not only is it an awesome design for Batman, but the Dark Detective storyline was one of the best parts of Future State I thought! Seeing Bruce stripped to the bone in terms of the tech and wealth at his disposal, it was a brand new side of the Dark Knight we aren't used to and I cannot wait for the present day comic lines to delve into the Magistrate so we can see more of the Dark Detective!

1. The Justice League
Without a doubt my favorite title from the Future State event was the Justice League issues! I just really fell in love with this interpretation of the League despite the short amount of time we got exposed to them, and I hope that just like how we're getting Future State Gotham which continues the story of that timeline, I want a full fledged Future State Justice League so we can read more about this line up! I have to mention Yara Flor first as the absolute break out character of the entire event, with her upcoming Wonder Girl title being one of my most anticipated comic books! Jon taking on the role of Superman throughout the event was awesome, if a bit tumultuous for the young hero, and the Next Batman is another staple of Future State people will recognize immediately. After those three, we have Andy's Aquawoman (The Aquaman Future State was another favorite of mine), the new Flash, and Jo Mullein's Green Lantern. Put all six of them together and it made for a truly fun Justice League storyline and a team that I sorely hope to put together in figure form!
