Top 5 things I wish the MCU did differently (Phases 1-3)
The MCU has chugged along for 3 phases and given us lots of different stories, characters, and conflicts with the universe that the heroes have had to overcome. It all came to a head in Endgame, with the Infinity saga coming to a close. It was a long road, with lots of different creators coming onto the series with lots of different movies with stories to tell. While a lot of it was an enjoyable ride with exciting moments from start to finish, there were also some low points that still bug me and wish they had done differently. So with the MCU having finished its first saga, here are the top 5 things that I wish they had done differently.

5. Lackluster villains
This is a common criticism with the movies, and one that I think the MCU could have easily rectified. They've shown that they can accomplish powerful, impactful villains time and time again, even in movies chock full of content like Thanos in Infinity War. So villains like Malekith, Whiplash, and others in the forgotten/loathed realm could have ended up so much better than they did. Understandably the MCU can't nail them all, but when phase 3 consistently delivered some of the best villains of the saga, it leaves me wondering why phases 1 and 2 were so hit and miss with their villain development.

4. Initially making all the heroes quippy geniuses
This is something that the MCU has thankfully shied away from now, but at the start and going into phase 3 every new hero that showed up were all joking super intelligent characters. Tony Stark was the first, and every character seemed to follow in his quippy shoes. Captain America was the only outlier as characters like Ant Man and Doctor Strange all came to the scene cracking jokes. Ant Man has since then stopped being a genius who adds modifications to the suit (he shouldn't have that kind of knowledge), and Doctor Strange has stopped being a smiling, jokey guy (and become more mean and serious like he should be). For a long time it was a bit deafening for every character to be a Tony Stark clone, and thankfully the personalities are more varied now.

3. Switching Shockers
While the Spiderman movies have had some of the best villains of the franchise, Shocker was one that I felt lacked and I think that directly relates to the fact that about halfway through Homecoming the first Shocker is randomly killed off in a gag and replaced with a much less charismatic version of the character. If they had gone with just one version of the Shocker, especially the charismatic version, I think the character would be one that stuck with fans much more.

2. Killing Klaue
I think this is mostly just a missed opportunity for the future. Klaue was a very entertaining and devilishly awesome character in the Black Panther film, and I felt like his death was just very sudden and overall didn't need to happen. Killmonger's death fit with the story and made his character stronger, but Killmonger could have easily just brought Klaue as a prisoner, and later he escapes to appear once again in the sequel. But as it stands such an awesome villain only got one movie appearance as a major villain, when he could have been a great recurring villain.

1. Killing Quicksilver
This is one I've been thinking about a lot lately, especially with Scarlet Witch's roles in Infinity War and Endgame. Quicksilver's death at the time it happened and up to this day is still treated as the worst hero death in the MCU, mostly due to the character having zero to no development prior to his untimely death. If Quicksilver had survived, I think the potential for his character would have been incredible. Imagining him on opposing sides of his sister in Civil War, fighting alongside her against Thanos, acting as the tough brother in regards to Wanda's romantic relationship with Vision, there was a lot of great moments with the character that would have been awesome to see. His powers were also visually really cool on screen; but alas, the MCU did away with his character before his time.
