Top 5 most wanted Mcfarlane DC Multiverse Flashpoint figures vol 2
DC's Flashpoint event remains one of the most pivotal moments in the entirety of DC's comic history, and one of the most popular as well! Mcfarlane has already embraced this storyline with the inclusion of the Flashpoint rendition of Batman in their first year of figures, and while not specifically billed for the storyline we've also gotten The Flash and Reverse Flash who fit in nicely with any Flashpoint display! There's so many more great designs from this storyline that deserve to get updated figures, and in this list I will be counting down my top 5 most wanted DC Multiverse Flashpoint figures vol 2!
Out of all the supplemental material for the Flashpoint world I really liked the Green Lantern story revolving around Abin Sur a lot! Seeing him become a white lantern in the story was an epic moment, and would make for a fantastic figure on top of Abin Surs not being very common in the action figure world either.
We've gotten lots of Jokers in the line already, many of them with wildly differing designs, but this one would still stand apart from the rest as the Joker in the the Flashpoint world is actually Martha Wayne! It was a great twist and one of the most memorable differences in the Flashpoint world, and one that would go great in figure form alongside the Batman we already have!
Shazam is usually known for being more carefree and fun loving, so seeing him become the persona of "Captain Thunder" with a much more grim, grizzled appearance was a change up and one that totally worked for this alternate timeline!
I'm a huge fan of Wonder Woman's armored look from the Flashpoint storyline, and she is one of the principle players in the whole event! The entire alternate history that unfolds between her and Arthur was very compelling to read about, making her one of the must haves when it comes to Flashpoint figures! The yellows and grays are a big contrast to her usual color pallet, and the full on helmeted look is another switch up.
We actually came close to getting an updated version of Flashpoint Aquaman in Mattel's Multiverse line! There isn't too much going on with the Flashpoint Aquaman that makes him drastically different from the Prime universe's design but what changes there are make him much more grizzled similar to Captain Thunder. I love the black pants, as well as the buzzcut and bruiser face that this universe's Aquaman possesses!
One character whose designs is extremely different from the usual is Superman! He is another Flashpoint character whose alternate life is well known amongst fans, having landed in Metropolis as a baby and being taken by the government for experimentation! His story is so tragic within this alternate timeline, and I loved seeing his role play out. The scrawny, emaciated design is such a far cry from what we usually think of with Superman, and this would be one design that so far hasn't gotten an action figure!
