Top 5 most wanted DC Multiverse figures based on Batman Eternal (New 52)

Batman Eternal was an epic weekly run from the New 52 that definitely ranks among my top favorite Batman runs from that era! Kicking off with a cataclysmic accident in Gotham, we follow Batman as he runs the gambit of his greatest foes trying to find out who is behind all of the trauma happening, leading up to a great twist with plenty of spotlight to be given to plenty of the Bat family throughout! There will be spoilers for the comic series as a heads up before I jump into my top 5 most wanted Mcfarlane DC Multiverse figures!

5. Batman

All of the Batmen figures we've gotten so far and no New 52 Batman, one of his most prominent looks in the last several years! It hunkers down on the grays and blacks, with the same linework throughout that a lot of the New 52 designs are known for. The New 52 Batman core series was the first Batman comic I read when I first got into comics, so this design for the Bat is certainly one I'm fond of, especially when it appeared in several other series I liked a lot like this one and Justice League!

4. Batwing

Admittedly, I didn't entirely see the point of the Arkham storyline other than setting up the Arkham Manor miniseries; however, seeing Batwing faced with the supernatural was a great team up alongside the Spectre! The subplot itself was engaging too even if it didn't totally factor into the overarching storyline of the series. With how much focus the Bat family has been getting in the DC Multiverse line, I doubt it'll be much longer till we get Batwing on the shelf, especially with other more minor members of the family like Duke Thomas coming out!

3. Spoiler

The introductory story for Stephanie Brown into the New 52 universe, Batman Eternal incorporated her in a fantastic way that saw her crucial to the events of the story as well as showed off her intellectual prowess throughout! On the run from her second rate criminal father for most of the series, Stephanie is pushed into the role of Spoiler in order to stop not just her father but whatever plot he is cooking up. She's gone on to reassert herself as one of my favorite members of the Bat family since she re-entered continuity.

2. Cluemaster

Big spoiler for the twist of the series, but when it was revealed that Cluemaster was behind everything at the end of the series I was excited with how much it took me off guard. I'm sure there were others who were able to guess it ahead of it, but after seeing Cluemaster taken down a number of times already, and the continuous build up of Batman wheedling through his rogues gallery trying to determined who was behind it all threw me off the sent of a D-tier villain! Cluemaster himself says it best in the series, that Batman becomes to focused on the mastermind being one of his greatest foes that he never considers someone as forgettable as Cluemaster to be the culprit!

1. Spectre

Like I mentioned, Spectre and Batwing's storyline with Deacon Blackfire and Arkham didn't majorly factor into the Cluemaster storyline; however, I really enjoyed it and the Spectre is easily one of my favorite supernatural characters in DC's repertoire! Whether he is done as a standard sized figure or a larger sized format like the mega figures I cannot wait to hopefully eventually get a Spectre figure in the display!
