Savage Opress is the latest reveal for the Clone Wars in Hasbro's Star Wars Black Series line and he looks phenomenal. He checks off yet another incredible character from the series who has been brought to 6 inch form similiarily to Jesse, Fives, Pre Vizsla, and Season 7 Maul before him. Here is hoping that the presence of the Clone Wars in Black Series does not waver anytime soon, and these upcoming five characters/designs are the ones I hope to see soon!
5. Ahsoka (season 1)
We've made ourselves collection of various Ahsokas from across the franchise at this point, with a few based on her Clone Wars appearances, now stretching to Rebels, Mandalorian, and the Ahsoka show itself. As of yet we have not gotten her original design in the line though which would represent a lot of those early storylines from the series.
4. Saw Gerrera
I wish that the Rogue One iteration of Saw Gerrera had sold better because I personally love the character and absolutely loved that figure. His younger form from the Clone Wars would be a very welcome addition by fans I believe, with many citing him as one of the best original figures from the series, with many more appearances throughout multiple pieces of Star Wars media.
3. Mother Talzin
A major presence during the later portions of the show was Mother Talzin and the Nightsisters, front and center during a lot of Savage Opress' and Ventress' storylines. The Nightsisters introduced a new side to the Force that expanded things further beyond simply Jedi and Sith, and is one of the coolest original characters from the series.
2. Tactical Droids
I will always welcome more droids into the Black Series line and the upcoming Commando Droids are a wonderful addition from the Clone Wars universe! The Tactical droids seen throughout the series were another sick Separatist droid design that I'd love to have in figure form, even if they were not the most action oriented presences.
1. Pong Krell
Just like I will always accept droids in the line, aliens and Jedi are two more groups that I will take all of that I can get. Pong Krell is no doubt one of the most impactful Jedi from the series with a dark, intense storyline in which Captain Rex took the spotlight, not to mention his design alone being absolutely hard. Four arms and duel wielding double bladed lightsabers; all in the making for one of the coolest ever action figures in the Black Series line!!
