Top 5 wanted Mattel Jurassic World Ankylosauria

The next Dinosaur species type that I'll be looking at in anticipation of the upcoming Jurassic World movie are the Ankylosauria, one of my all time favorite species type with the titular Ankylosaur being one of my top two favorite dinosaurs of all time. This species has not seen quite as many releases by Mattel in their Jurassic World line of figures but it is one that I always love to see when made, and these are five more species I hope to eventually see made.

5. Nodosaurus

The member of the Ankylosauria family has no club on the end of its tail, no spikes running along its body, it just had a thick body and tail lined with beaded plates of armor. This type of dinosaur species has always been one of my favorites of the Dinosaur species, and I'd love more to go with the Hammond Collection Ankylosaur and some of the smaller species we've gotten.

4. Crichtonsaurus

The spikes along this dinosaur's body are very unique and seem to only plate the ridges of its torsos along with the shoulder blades. Beyond that, this dinosaur is named after one of my favorite authors of all time, Michael Crichton, who is the origin of Jurassic Park and ultimately the franchise as a whole so this dinosaur deserves its due soon in Mattel's line.

3. Edmontonia

The design of this Ankylosaur skews a bit closer to the usual when talking about this species type, with the armored body and spikes along its body. Where this species really becomes unique is the spikes closer to the front of the body, giving this dinosaur a lot more head on defense with heavy duty spikes at the forefront.

2. Euoplocephalus

This wild dinosaur has plenty of spikes like the rest of its species type; however, I love the hefty amount of larger spikes near the head of the creature as well as the added larger spikes near its rear end. Even its head has plenty of spikes to protect it, making it a well protected creature from attack.

1. Pinacosaurus

This species is littered with spikes throughout its body, even on its forelegs making it a well armored tank befitting of its species moniker. What I really love about this dinosaur is how squat and round it is with an extremely round torso that make it of the cutest of its species type. I am always down for more ankylosauria in the line, especially when they're as round as this one!
