Top 5 Favorite Mattel Jurassic Park/World figures of 2024

Mattel's Jurassic World line still has not given as a Hammond Collection Spinosaurus but we did get several fantastic releases throughout 2024 that shows the constant improvement of the line with lots of great species both new to the toyline and updated to nigh-perfect degree. My fingers are crossed that 2025 will finally deliver the Hammond Collection Spinosaurus I've been waiting for, but while I wait let's look back at my top 5 favorite Mattel Dinosaur figures from the Jurassic World lines.

5. Bajadasaurus

The only figure from the mainline that will be making it onto this list is the Bajadasaurus, a wild species with bony prominences aligning the back and neck of this sauropod. While there are areas lacking in paint, the sculpt of this creature is a highly unique one that makes it stand out across the line when compared to others of its species type.

4. Pyroraptor

The rest of this list will be highly Hammond Collection dominated, and the line this year continued to prove how it is the undisputed best line amongst the Dinosaur action figure brand. The Pyroraptor came out with an incredible sculpt that captures the feathered look of this stand out Dominion design, with painting that applies the red and white coloration of this dinosaur very well.

3. Giganotosaurus

The largest non-sauropod dinosaur released in the Hammond Collection thus far, the Giganotosaurus is easily the highlight of Dinosaur action figures with immaculate paint applications, endless sculpting detail, and a strong shelf presence that has me ever more excited for a possible Spinosaurus as the next larger scale Dinosaur release.

2. Allosaurus

The latest release of the Hammond Collection line is the Allosaurus, another beautiful release in the line that takes all the expected sculpting, paintwork, and articulation of the Hammond Collection and delivers an absolute blast of a figure. While smaller than the Giganotosaurus, the Allosaurus' release achieves a high level of shelf presence with its posability and perfect depiction of its on screen reference.

1. Therizinosaurus

After seeing Dominion and being introduced to the Therizinosaurus species it immediately became one of my top favorite Dinosaur species of all time with its highly unique design, and the Hammond Collection came out 2024 with the best action figure of the species to date. While it forgos the blind eyes of the movie design in lieu of a more generic species release, the Therizinosaurus figure we got has sculpting that accurately captures all the feathers of the movie design, and articulation so deep that even the individual finger claws has their own joints!
