Top 5 wanted Star Wars Micro Galaxy Squadron ships from Rogue One and Solo

I was one that really enjoyed the two spin off movies we got in the Star Wars universe! The tragic mission of the Rogue One has easily become one of my favorite stories in the whole franchise, while the heist movie Solo is one that that sat with me a lot better than it seems to have with most people. While I feel like a lot of ships these days are overlooked in comparison to the iconic designs of the originals and prequels (barring examples like Mandalorian's Razorcrest) I think a lot of great ship designs came out of these two films! In particular, here are five I'd love to see recreated in Jazwares' scaled Micro Galaxy Squadron line!

5. Han and Moloch's speeders

A good speeder chase through the disgusting streets of Corellia were a great way to start Solo and introduced us to Han's abilities as a driver! The blue of Han's speeder really struck out against the muted colors of his birth world, while the hulking, chortling speeder Moloch utilized seemed like a gas guzzler to the 10th degree! Moloch's speeder would also be an opportunity for 1 inch figurines of Moloch and his dogs to be put out, which are designs I wish got more love from fans!

4. AT hauler

The opening sequences of Solo are no doubt some of my favorite from the film, especially the train heist scene! I've been advocating for a spin off revolving around Beckett, Val, and Rio ever since I saw the movie and the train scene was one of their best, even if it turned out sour for Val and Rio. The AT hauler answered a good question about how those massive vehicles in the Star Wars universe are carted around, but aside from that it is just a cool looking ship with two massive prongs!

3. Imperial combat assault tank

One of the very few vehicles in Star Wars that doesn't move along with legs or hover technology, the tank scene in Rogue One was essentially the centerpiece of one of the film's earliest exciting action scenes in which Saw Gerrera's partisans wage a street level war against the imperial battalion! As we've seen with the Vintage Collection rendition of this vehicle, there are lots of little details to pack in throughout, especially kyber crystal containers which would be a fun play gimmick.

2. AT-ACT and AT-DT

Putting two together again for the second slot on this list, AT walkers will always remain some of my favorite vehicles across the franchise! While it isn't the AT-AT, the AT-ACT are a delightful addition to Rogue One's climax and made the film that much more enjoyable for me! Then, while scarcely seen in the film itself, Solo introduced us to the AT-DT walkers which equate to AT-ST walkers with humongous cannons instead of a "head."

1. Imperial heavy cargo shuttle and U-wing

Two more ships are sharing the top spot on my list and that would be the two primary ships that the Rogue One team used in the movie! This group of characters are among my top favorite characters in Star Wars of all time, with Bodhi being my top pick from the group, and my excitement beyond high for the upcoming Cassian show! Their U-wing fighter was what they used for the brunt of the movie, the sleek and long starfighter carrying them through Jedha and Eadu, but it is the Imperial cargo transport that really stuck with me. It may be because I associate it with Bodhi Rook, and the thought of getting a 1 inch figurine of him to add to my Bodhi collection would be great, but in the end I will buy anything from Rogue One!
