Top 5 wanted McFarlane DC Multiverse comic Superman characters vol 2

While not as dug into as the Batman universe of characters, the Superman comics are a universe that Mcfarlane has focused on heavily, especially this year! We've gotten numerous Supermen from across the comic history, we got a Jon Kent, finally received a comic Supergirl figure, and as of late our range of Superman rogues have expanded greatly with Atomic Skull, Mongul, Doomsday and beyond! There's so many more supporting characters from Superman's time in comics that I'd love to have as action figures from Mcfarlane's DC Multiverse line, and this is my newest top 5 countdown!

5. Super-Man of China

With the Rebirth era of DC Comics a new Superman character was introduced for his own solo series by the name of Kenan Kong, a Superman of Asian descent who sadly hasn't appeared as often in more recent times. I really enjoyed his comic series and his partnerships with the Justice League of China, as well as the design of his suit, especially with the Yin/Yang design of his suit that it took on later in the comic. One of my all time favorite Rebirth moments was the whole of the Superman heroes taking on the Superman Revenge Squad in Action Comics, and Kenan would add to that moment!

4. Conner Kent

Conner is no doubt one of the most popular characters in the extended Superman family, and we got an awesome figure of him in his current design which itself calls back heavily to his first appearance with the leather jacket. A classic look I'd love for them to go for though would be his Pre-Flashpoint design during the Infinite Crisis storyline and a lot of comics throughout the 2000s where he wore the black T-shirt. It would pair very well with the Superboy-Prime that we have in the line already, and the sculpt overall could be reused for a Match figure!

3. Power Girl

The Target exclusive Supergirl has sold out on preorder which I hope signals Mcfarlane that there is a market for these awesome female characters in the line, and that we get a lot more in the coming years as the major lack of female characters from the DC universe in the Mcfarlane line is becoming more and more jarring. Power Girl is a great character from DC's history who has a long history as part of the Justice Society, part of the Superman family, and taking on a major role in the Infinite Crisis! Even if she were to end up as an exclusive figure like Supergirl, I hope Power Girl gets a figure soon too.

2. Val Zod

We've gotten a taste of the Earth-2 universe in the toyline so far with Thomas Wayne's Batman, and I hope that this awesome comic series from the New 52 era continues to be filled out! One of the most obvious choices to go with next would be Val-Zod, a breakout character from the series that fans still talk about today! His stance as a pacifist and an agoraphobic during the Apokalips war brought in a new dynamic for how the character would deal with situations, and recently he made a tragically short lived come back in Jon Kent's latest comic series!

1. Jon (Rebirth and 2018 suits)

While I have been a fan of Jon's stint as an older hero in the comics, and am happy to have a figure to represent this portion of his career, my most wanted Jon Kent figures actually hail from earlier in his days as a comic character! His Rebirth hoodie and jeans are no doubt the most iconic look for the character, and the more armored look of his 2018 Bendis design is so aesthetically pleasing and would fit in nicely with Mcfarlane's penchant for complicated designs. As a character huge in DC's lore, and constantly at the forefront these days, I hope that we get plenty more Jon Kents!
