Top 5 wanted Justice Society characters in Mcfarlane's DC Multiverse

The Justice Society is one of my all time favorite corners of the DC Multiverse and I've been over the moon for Mcfarlane to be delving into them at least a little bit with Jay Garrick and Alan Scott so far! A lot of people have also been including the figures from their live action debut in Black Adam to an overall Justice Society display, but the comic world boasts so many iconic and stand out characters from the team that I sorely hope get to be produced in action figure form again soon! So with a solid foundation to the team started, here are my next most wanted Justice Society figures from Mcfarlane!

Honorable mention: New 52 Earth 2
While never strictly called the "Justice Society," it was clear that for the New 52 that is what this world was. Alan Scott, Jay Garrick, Sandman, Hawkgirl, this was the Justice Society reimagined for a new generation and a brand new world. While very different from the Justice Society we were used to, I really enjoyed this comic series and it is easily one of my favorite things that the New 52 gave us. More characters and designs from this universe is something I will happily take, even if it isn't our typical view of the world's first superhero team.

5. Hawkman

Hawkman is finally making his comic book rendition debut in the DC Multiverse line through Mcfarlane's Collector's Edition subline (though still not clear why exactly it is a subline and not part of the mainline). The look we are getting first is based on his appearance in the Zero Hour event, but what I'd really love is for a green and yellow version of his costume from most of his primary designs and appearances. By the time the 2000s JSA comic series got rolling, Hawkman became one of the few vintage Justice Society members still in operation, and would fit right alongside Jay and Alan.

4. Citizen Steel

Some of my favorite members of the Justice Society have been the more recent additions to the team's roster. The late 2000s brought a slew of new characters in the Justice Society of America comic series and one of the real standouts for me was certainly Citizen Steel. From a lineage of heroes, Citizen Steel's powerset actually came from an event of tragedy and the slaughter at his family barbecue is still one of the most shocking scenes in a DC comic that I've read. His struggle to adapt to his powers was a side plot that kept me engaged, and his character a great addition to the team.

3. Mr. Terrific

Another recent addition to the team was Michael Holt, one of the most popular Justice Society characters outside of the Justice Society realm itself. He has had numerous comic titles to his own name, been a main player in many comic tales, and has always been one of the most compelling personalities in the room. I'd really go for either of his main looks, whether it be the sleeveless New 52 look that he donned in the Earth 2 series, or the more classic jacketed look he has had pretty much in every other iteration!

2. Wildcat

Jumping back into the classic side of things, Wildcat is one of the longest lasting members of the Justice Society, with one of my favorite scenes from the JSA being that of him, Alan, Jay, and Carter spending time together after Hawkman's return and reminiscing about the fact that they're the final four remaining from the original Justice Society. His grizzled personality makes him a fun character to read, and his impact on the fighting prowess of DC heroes speaks for itself with how many heavy hitters he has helped to train.

1. Stargirl

Coming in at number 1 is Courtney Whitmore herself, easily the most iconic member of the Justice Society to be added after the initial classic roster of characters. While plenty of the younger members are acknowledged as newer recruits to the JSA, Courtney has ingrained herself as a seamless piece of the team that fits right alongside Jay and the others. It is even acknowledged that other younger members like Cyclone look up to her as a mentor right alongside the likes of the old timers. She is one of my favorite characters in all of comics itself, especially after the incredible television series, and hopefully she can overcome Mcfarlane's reluctance to produce female figures and get her into the line!
