Top 5 most wanted McFarlane DC Multiverse comic book villain figures vol 4
The realm of comic book villains from the DC Multiverse have been seeing a great boon as of late from Mcfarlane in their action figure line, which I've loved to see as a big fan of villain characters. The Platinum releases have offered lots of great smaller scale villains, whereas the mainline has also given us fan favorite villains like Darkseid, Doomsday, General Zod, and now members of The Rogues with Boomerang and now Captain Cold! With villains looking to be a staple in the line, these are my next batch of most wanted comic book villains from the toyline!
Honorable mention: Inertia and New 52 Joker
Inertia ranks amongst my top favorite speedster villains from The Flash comics, and he would be extremely easy for Mcfarlane to get into the line with the existing Impulse retool of the Future State Superman mold. The green and black is such a striking difference from the usual color palates, I just wish the Impulse mold was a little smaller as it means Inertia will also be pretty tall with that mold. Secondly, the New 52 Joker is one I've been wanting for a while in the line, specifically either his Endgame design or the Joe's Garage jumpsuit from Death of the Family, both of which are two of his creepiest looks in my opinion. The suited design from the end of Death of the Family that we got has a fantastic headsculpt, but I wasn't entirely enthusiastic about the re-used body mold.5. Johnny Quick
Speaking of speedster villains, Johnny Quick at the moment is one of the glaring omissions in the line. We got a fantastic wave of the Crime Syndicate as a Target exclusive with a Starro Build-A figure two years ago, and got each member of the team (even Atomica as a two-pack accessory) except for Johnny. Now we've begun the New 52 Crime Syndicate with Owlman and Grid, and even an Earth-3 denizen in the form of Solomon Baz! Still no Johnny Quick though, and with the New 52 Crime Syndicate underway I would be more than happy for them to use that version for his line debut!4. Hank Henshaw
As insane as the Zor-El Cyborg Superman figure is from a design perspective, the classic Hank Henshaw is what a lot of fans are waiting for and I think now is the best time to put him out in the line. He is a wildly iconic and popular villain design from one of the most striking DC Comics storylines in the history of the universe, and could be an especially impressive figure is the metallic pieces are given a nice sheen of silver paint.3. Savitar
Circling back to the speedster villains (quite a few on this list, can you tell I'm a big Flash fan?), Savitar's footprint in comic history is relatively small (although even The Rival got a mainline release) but he is still remembered as a cool villain many Flash fans are familiar with. I love his wild design with his bare chest and flowing mane of hair, and his modern comic debut could easily be checked off as well if a cloth cloak were to be included!2. Brainiac
This is a villain I'm frankly shocked not to have seen in the line so far with the popularity of Brainiac as a character (we've even gotten Superman villain Atomic Skull before him). While the Page Punchers figure is nice, it would be swell to get a Brainaic figure in the line that is based on an existing comic design in the DC world. I'd take anything from across his expansive comic history (his classic design is one that would be so fun to have with the other silver age figures we've been getting), but I gravitate more towards his modern depiction with the white and black body suit.1. Prometheus
I recently talked about Prometheus is my post about my most wanted comic book characters overall, and now that character is taking the top spot on my most wanted villains list. He has been a cocky, super intelligent and well prepared villain with each of his appearances with in-universe characters referring to him as the "Batman of super villains." Aside from his awesome character, his design itself also screams for an action figure with his cape, bludgeoning weapon, and epic helmet!
