Top 5 most wanted Batwoman villains in the CW Arrowverse vol 2
Batwoman season 1 ended a short while ago with a clear path of where the story was heading next, with plenty of set up and easter eggs to guess what season 2 would ultimately be about. The first season was a bit of a mixed bag for me, but I really enjoyed seeing all the characters brought to life including some of the lesser tier Batman foes like Detonator, Duela Dent, and Magpie. Being a Batwoman show though, we got a few of Batwoman's own rogue's gallery as well with the likes of Alice, the Rifle, and Nocturna. I made a list a while ago about the villains I'd like to see in the show, and since then I've immersed myself in much more Batwoman comics and know a great deal more about her gallery of villains and the potential foes she could fight on the show. So here is my revised list of top 5 Batwoman villains I'd like to see in the CW Arrowverse.

5. Safiyah and The Many Arms of Death
I'm placing these characters at the bottom of the list simply because we basically have confirmation that these characters will be in the next season. I can't count the number of times Safiyah and Coryana were mentioned, and the showrunners themselves have come out and said that Safiyah will be making her appearance in the next season. While she wasn't being the Many Arms of Death in the comics, it seems to be that way in the show and I'm excited to see them on the show! Hopefully the villain of the week format can be used to greater extent as well, with so many random villains based on weapons appearing in that storyline such as the Fist and the Rifle. Knife certainly has to make an appearance, and having Scarecrow appear as the Needle would be a treat for Batman fans too.

4. Q-ball and the Pool hall gang
This is a very minor villain group from the comics who only appeared once or twice sparingly. I still love the wackiness of their unit though, and their leader having a cue ball for a head would make for a hilarious look on the show. They could easily fit the bill as a group that Batwoman has to contend with for an episode, or even as a single fight scene to show Batwoman taking down villains. Either way, I would really like to see them cause havoc in the show and give us the wackier side of Gotham.

3. Urban legends
While I haven't completely finished the storyline with the follow up books, I absolutely loved the book of Batwoman: Haunted Tides. The artwork with the Weeping Woman was completely mesmerizing and seeing this terrifying villain could delve into the horror aspect of the Bat character in the Arrowverse and give us a very scary show. The Hook and Bloody Mary would fit this bill as well, and having these urban legends being brought to life could make for a very interesting season even if Medusa appearing on the show seems a bit far fetched.

2. Arkham escapees
These next two slots come from the same storyline, which happens to be my favorite Batwoman storyline that I've read! When the Wolfspider broke into Arkham, he ended up releasing several villains that terrorized the guards and Batwoman, covering her escape. Among this group was Green Fairy, Scatter, Absinthe, and Lamprey, all of whom are very colorful and unique villains whose time in the comics are horribly short lived. Giving them life on the show, even as villains of the week, would be a treat to see, especially if the season is spent locking them up and they later all escape similar to the comic!

1. Wolfspider
Speaking of Wolfspider, he remains my favorite Batwoman villain from the comics and the one I'd like to see most in the live action series! While he wasn't terribly evil, I think he would make for a great foil to Batwoman as he is one of her oldest friends, committing crimes for a big payday with truly no beef with Batwoman. It would make for a great villain dynamic to have Wolfspider have no care for Batwoman, and make it even more complicated when they discover they know one another. His acrobatic abilities would put him on even fighting grounds with her, and even if he was just a small part of the season rather than a big bad I would welcome his appearance into live action! He was also very funny through his one storyline in the comics, and having such a charismatic, funny, hard fought villain would be a treat against all of the sadistic, no nonsense villains we've mostly been given so far.
