Expectations for Hasbro Pulsecon 2022

With Hasbro PulseCon just around the corner I have plenty of guesses and predictions for what we could be seeing from each of the main brand teams hosting reveals. I have more informed guesses about some licenses than others, but ultimately I'm just hoping for lots of cool toys that will end up draining my wallet as they're revealed throughout the days!

Marvel: Spider-Man, Iron Man, and X-Men oh my. Haslab.

I really have no guesses as to what could be coming next from Marvel. I'm sure there will be more Spider-men, more Iron Men, more X Men, but there are always plenty of surprises as well! I for one am hoping for more MCU products, and I think a big event like Hasbro's Pulse Con could be the perfect place for them to unveil their next Haslab item which I'm very excited to find out the identity of!

GI Joe: Yo Joe!

Just like Marvel, the G.I. Joe team could do literally anything. I expect we'll see proper reveals of a lot of those names they've been giving us for 2023 product, maybe more random names too for the future, but whatever ends up being revealed I know it'll be a blast. This brand team is one of the funnest to see flourish, and hopefully their passion soon brings us much needed characters like Jinx and Chuckles.

Power Rangers: the rest of wave 14, more Street Fighters crossovers, and deluxe wave 3

Getting into my main trinity of Hasbro licenses at the moment, Power Rangers was one that was frighteningly quiet for a while but came back with a bang during Power Week! Snizzard looks like another awesomely unique creature for the shelf, and some big time Ranger wants like Beast Morphers yellow and Dino Charge blue joined the line! I'm expecting we'll see the other two figures from wave 14 to go along with them at this show, along with some more Street Fighter crossover figures which were teased during the reveals of Ryu and Chun Li. I feel like the reveals won't stop there though, and we could even see the next wave of deluxe Ranger/vehicle/monster sets.

Star Wars: Andor products, pipeline reveals actually getting revealed, and more pipelines

I've really been enjoying a lot of the Star Wars products that have been put out recently, even if a lot of it has been aimed at newer media than legacy stuff. That's okay with me right now though because I love The Mandalorian, really enjoyed Obi Wan Kenobi, and cannot wait for Andor! We've already started seeing product reveals from Andor, and while they're mostly repaints and retools, they're great looking repaints and retools! Nothing mainline yet though, so I expect we'll see mainline Andor figures either at Pulse Con or revealed week to week with the show. Aside from Andor stuff, I figure we'll start seeing some of those pipeline reveals actually revealed (Beyond excited for Ki-Adi Mundi!), and of course more pipeline reveals which'll hopefully reveal more prequel figures on the way!

Transformers: Breakdown, Shattered Glass, more Armada figures, Rise of the Beasts?


With the Transformers side of things I'm expecting to see all sorts of different reveals. Breakdown for one, finally bringing our Legacy Menasor to a close. As well as the next Shattered Glass figure for this next wave of comics, which based on comic cover solicitations should be a Shattered Glass Soundwave which will be awesome. One thing I'm on the edge of my seat for is the reveal of more Armada figures which the brand team essentially confirmed while talking about Armada Starscream during their last fanstream. Aside from the Bayverse Armada is my main Transformers jam and I will eat up anything they do. I'm expecting more of the more popular characters first like Hot Shot and Megatron, though I'll take literally anyone. Just the thought of a commander class Tidal Wave or Super mode Optimus Prime has me foaming at the mouth! A questionable reveal could be Studio Series figures for Rise of the Beasts, but I'm thinking we'll have to see an actual movie trailer that reveals some of the designs before Hasbro is allowed to reveal anything.

Top 5 most wanted NECA Back to the Future figures

NECA gave us a huge surprise this year with the reveal of a full range of action figures for the Back to the Future franchise! This is definitely one of the most popular franchises out there and I didn't know that I needed action figures for it until now! So far we've had a couple of reveals in the form of Marty from the first movie, Marty in the second movie, Marty in his spaceman costume, and then Biff from the first movie. The movies don't have the biggest cast that are ideal for action figure treatment, but I've thought up five from the three movies that need to come into the line after these four! Top 5 most wanted Jakks Pacific Sonic Badniks vol 2

(Images Source) We have been getting more and more robotic Badniks in Jakks Pacific's line of Sonic figures which is very exciting! Primary characters are great, but getting more of the background designs to fill out the scenes is awesome and we've recently got some Badniks I was eagerly waiting for like the Burrobot, Newtron, and most recently the Caterkiller!! Eggman's army is packed to the brim though with all kinds of robotic enemies, and these are five more I hope to eventually see! 5. Jaws The Chopper is not the most posable of the Badniks that we've gotten so far (not that many are very posable to begin with), but it is such a classic design from the series and another underwater enemy would be the Jaws. With Jakks Pacific steadily working through giving us little playsets themed around different levels, a set themed around the underwater sequences would be the perfect way to get this guy into the line. 4.
