I thought the initial releases in the Harry Potter S.H.Figuarts line by Tamashii Nations looked great and was a bit let down when the line died shortly after the first few releases. One of the funnest reveals of Tamashii Nations' 2024 event was the return of the Harry Potter line with two of the best looking figures in the line! They've jumped ahead to Goblet of Fire for the newest products in the line, and I hope to see many more coming without another drought! Thus far they have themed their releases after specific movies as opposed to doing multiple movies at once, so with Goblet of Fire being the current focus I have made up my top 5 most wanted SHFiguarts from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
5. McGonagall
Some of the head figure of Hogwarts are ones I need to see as priorities if the Harry Potter line continues. Minerva was a lasting presence throughout the saga and one of the strongest female presences amongst the well rounded cast. She's easily recognizable as one of the series most iconic characters, making her deserving of a good action figure.
4. Dumbledore
When talking about iconic characters in the series it does not get much more iconic than Dumbledore. Goblet of Fire is where the recast for this character occured and in my analysis of the franchise it is also where he began to become a more notable and integrated part of the narrative overall. Regardless of whether they use this movie's design for Dumbledore I think he should be one of the next figures released.
3. Death Eater
The dark wizards of the Wizarding World became more prominent following this film, soldiers of Voldemort who we saw go after our heroes in droves as the war escalated. Their horrific masks and dark robes were always a sign of the Dark Lord, and with Voldemort in the line I think it would be very cool to get Death Eater figure to go along with him.
2. Cedric Diggory
Goblet of Fire introduced a few new characters to the franchise and Cedric Diggory was amongst the most impactful. His death still stands as one of the most sudden and tragic of the series, and he would be a perfect next figure in the line to go with Voldemort and the Triwizard Harry that is forthcoming.
1. Mad Eye Moody
If there is a character that really stood out from the new cast members in Goblet of Fire it would have to be Mad Eye Moody. While it ultimately revealed that the real Moody was locked away and it was a Voldemort fanatic in disguise the character still made a grand impact on fans with his wild behavior, design, and the signature "mad eye". Mad Eye and Cedric would be two releases that would greatly complement the Goblet of Fire releases if they would like to release another duo of figures eventually.
