Top 5 favorite Transformers reveals from 2024 Cybertron-Con

I was not completely aware of Cybertron-Con occuring this month but once the toy reveals started pouring in I was hooked and fully invested in the event. Yolopark's display was impressive but didn't show off anything really new, so Hasbro overall stole the show with the full reveal of their first wave of Age of the Primes figures for next year!

5. Star Convoy

My knowledge of Star Convoy is extremely limited, but I do recognize a fantastic looking toy when I see one and this Titan Class Optimus Prime fits that declaration. Smaller than traditional Titans and with a lower price point to match, this is yet another obscure piece of Transformers history making a big comeback in modern day toylines which I love to see. I can't say for sure that I'll be personally making the purchase, but reveals like this is why I also love to "window shop."

4. Superion

It seems to be that 2025 is the year that Hasbro rally fully dives back into the Combiner game. Menasor was a great entry point back to the iconic G1 Combiner teams, and Devastator is a phenomenal looking next step with Superion now posed to join him! Three out of five of the Aerialbots were unveiled in quick succession giving us a solid look already at what to expect out of  Superion's combined form. It mimics a lot of what we saw from Menasor which does pump out an animation accurate combined form so no complaints there. The Decepticon combiners were always my favorites, but the Autobot side of things need some love too!

3. Vortex

Speaking of Decepticon Combiners, 2025 definitely seems to be the year of Combiners as the artwork teases for future Age of the Primes releases teased to us Vortex of the Combaticons! Hasbro had previously stated that they aim to fully reveal the Combiner team or Combined form with Combiners going forward, and I'm curious if we truly will have three whole Combiner teams to work on throughout 2025, especially with Silverbolt taking the Commander Class price point I would otherwise think Onslaught should take for the Combaticons. Either way, Bruticus is easily my second favorite G1 Combiner after Devastator so for both of them to be seeing new releases in 2025 is a dream.

2. Skye Byte

Vortex wasn't the only tease that got my attention though as the Car Robots representation continues in a steady pace with Skye Byte/Gel Shark as the next release in the line. Fairly obvious given the popularity of the character in the Transformers fanbase and I can't wait to see what a modern update can do for a character with a wild alternate mode. He will pair very nicely with his rival from the series, Black Convoy/Scourge, and maybe we can get an eventual Gigatron too?

1. Armada Red Alert

When it comes to Transformers, I'm a Bayverse and Armada boy through and through. Studio Series has been scratching my live action itch for a long time now, and Legacy started us down a path of receiving modern day Armada updates which has been a hit one after another for me. Age of the Primes pleasingly continues the Armada love with Red Alert, rounding out the original trio of Autobots from the series and I dare say he looks to be one of the best Armada updates thus far. The proportions, colors, and both forms look outstanding and a match to the animation model.
