Wanted Mega Construx Kanto Pokemon First Evolutions vol 2

I feel as though it is a testament to Mega Construx's focus on the Kanto region when over half of my previous list detailing the top 10 first evolution Kanto Pokemon that I wanted to see in the line have been revealed or released. Slowpoke, Jigglypuff, Sandshrew, Vulpix, Omanyte, and Clefairy have all made it out of the most wanted list and into the line. None of my other lists have had so many entries get marked off so quickly, with only a couple months having passed from the first list, leading me to get to work already on a second list with added entries to fill in the gaps of those that have made it to production. So with the expectation that several of the Pokemon on this new list will be marked off by the end of the year, here are the top 10 Kanto first evolution Pokemon that I want to see in the Mega Construx Pokemon line!

10. Exeggcute
This is one that I've discussed on my blog before, and I'm very interested in seeing how the line pulls off this group of rounded Pokemon. Would each of them be their own little build, or would they all be connected somehow? If they are separate, it could be hard keeping them all together like they are typically seen without them rolling apart, but I can't right now think of how they would engineer the group to be fused together. This is one of the more oddball Kanto Pokemon that have yet to be made, and I wonder how it will be tackled.

9. Weedle
One of the first Pokemon that players usually ran into was the orange caterpillar Weedle who eventually evolved into Beedrill. We got Beedrill last year in a set with Venusaur, and Weedle's spiritual brother in the form of Caterpie, so everything is set for this Pokemon to fit perfectly into collections. It would be an easy build, probably similar to Caterpie's, but those little legs are what I'm interested in seeing done.

8. Horsea
This is just a cute Pokemon that I think has its due in a line where water type Pokemon haven't been as well represented as other typings. There has been a moderate amount, but fish Pokemon haven't been coming in droves, and as far as water Pokemon go the Kanto region has several that can fill in that type disparity. The curled tail and pair of wings would be fun additions to the build, and may help pave the road for a Seadra down the line.

7. Psyduck
Still on the topic of water type Pokemon, this one is even more perfect with the popularity of the Pokemon, its presence in the original anime, and its presence in the upcoming Detective Pikachu film! Psyduck has been around since the start and with such an imprint on the franchise this Pokemon deserves a spot in the buildable line that has gone too far with its absence.

6. Ditto
I'm still hesitant to put this Pokemon on the list, but I have faith that I won't be too disappointed in the line product. I'm worried that there will be no articulation for this Pokemon who is essentially a big glob of mush; however, I gladly bought Wurmple who also has no articulation, and there have further been others with no articulation like Grubbin and Charjabug. I shouldn't be so picky about it, Ditto is one of my favorite Kanto Pokemon and the day it is finally announced will be one I'll celebrate, even if it is just a non-articulated block.

5. Tentacool
Yet another water Pokemon to add to the list, this one is a Pokemon I'm expecting to have a fair amount of articulation. Those tentacles give themselves over to plenty of bending fun, and the bulbous orbs on this Pokemon's head is something I'm curious on how it will be done in the line. The tentacles really are the selling point of this Pokemon for me, as it will add a unique new feature to the Pokemon so far in the line, as well as hopefully offering a wide array of pose-ability for set ups.

4. Gastly
This point in this list is when I'll be covering the four remaining Pokemon from the original first list. Gastly was on it, and so carries over onto this one thanks to not receiving a figure yet. Gengar released as an SDCC exclusive last year with a ton of excitement, and I think that its first evolution should join the line to accompany it. Gastly is a Pokemon, like Ditto, that I'm thinking won't have any articulation; however, this Pokemon's appearance really doesn't lend itself to articulation. The smokey aura around the Pokemon is what I'm most eager to see done, and hopefully the wait to see it done won't be too much longer.

3. Kabuto
We got Omanyte finally, now I still need the second member of the Kanto fossil duo. I have always loved the fossil type Pokemon, and in the games they have always been depicted as a duo that you choose from at the same type, as well as a subgroup of Pokemon that existed a long time ago. Fossil Pokemon just seem so cool to me, with their ancient designs, and prehistoric lore, leading Kabuto to not just top the list because he is a carry over from the first one, but because I need this Pokemon to come out for my display to go alongside Omanyte.

2. Dratini
Like several of the Pokemon on this list, we already got the final evolution for this Pokemon and am now just waiting to get started on the rest of the evolutionary line. Dragonite was one of the earlier sets released, and now I am waiting to get a Dratini in the line. The only downside, and I have mentioned this before, is that I'm expecting the build for this Pokemon to be similar to the build for Ekans which didn't look very pretty. That's a shame, since this is such a cute Pokemon, but it will definitely retain a unique head sculpt which is where the cuteness of this Pokemon lies.

1. Drowzee
Appearing in yet another list is Drowzee. I've talked about this Pokemon before and I'll do it again here. I used to not really care about it and its evolution; however, in the past year or two I did another play through of the Kanto region in which I ended up using a Drowzee. It and its evolution ended up being one of the MVPs of my team, and I appreciated the Pokemon much more. I like the stubby features of this Pokemon, the brown coloration of its lower body, and the hose-nose on its face. Like Slowpoke, I feel like this Pokemon would be better suited for a 10 dollar set rather than a Pokeball set, so hopefully that is the case and we get a very nice buildable set for this creepy Pokemon.
