Top 5 most wanted Transformers TCG G1 season 3 character cards
While much of the focus of the Transformers TCG from Wizards of the Coast has been on the cast of those first two seasons of the show, the less popular third season has still received several character cards for representation. Movie characters who went on to star in the third season like Arcee, Kup, Hot Rod, Springer, Blurr, and now Ultra Magnus have all received cards along with season 3 exclusive characters like Predaking and Metroplex; however, the third season still has several big characters that I'm waiting to make their appearance in the card game. So just as I went over the character cards I wanted to see most from season 1 and season 2, here are the character cards I want most from season 3 of the original G1 television show!

5. Wheelie
Wheelie is one of the last big Autobot characters to have been introduced in the movie. He was a small, rhyming sidekick to Grimlock and later went on to be a partner with Daniel in many adventures. I've always thought he was a cool bot with a wicked sounding voice, even if he did get a bit annoying at times. But I still want a card of him, and applying the upgrade "energon slingshot" will feel right with him.

4. Scourge
While the Autobot side of the season 3 cast has been very well represented, the Decepticons have yet to really get their due. Scourge turned up as the third in command of Galvatron's new Decepticons, usually leading a unit of Decepticons who looked identical to him. He was a hard boiled villain who has the distinct quality of having claimed the Autobot matrix for a short time; even if it did nearly destroy him.

3. Cyclonus
An even more hardcore, stern villain than Scourge, Cyclonus was Galvatron's second in command and a much more competent and loyal soldier than Starscream ever was. He was very powerful, and worked as a good foil to Rodimus' own second in command, Ultra Magnus, so a deck with the two of them seems like it is meant to work.

2. Galvatron
After the past two slots you must have known where this was heading. Galvatron was a frightening and powerful foe as an upgraded Megatron in the film, and while the third season of the TV show depicted him as much less competent and hardly a threat when compared to the Quintessons, Galvatron has still stuck with many fans and remained a constant throughout different Transformer mythos.

1. Trypticon
We recieved Metroplex back during wave 1, then wave 2 came in and Omega Supreme ended up being the titan released. Season 3 has a focus on the Siege toyline, which does not include Trypticon so I'm still wondering where this beast will come in. Thus far we have no Decepticon titan card, and Trypticon is the most likely choice to fill that slot. He is one of the best known of the city Transformers, and becomes a humongous T-rex which is very awesome. Out of all of the season 3 cast, I'm still waiting for a card to match against Metroplex and a Decepticon titan in general.
