Most wanted McFarlane Harry Potter figures from each film
I am growing more and more anticipated for the Harry Potter figures by McFarlane by the day. Wave 1 hasn't even hit yet, but the future seems wide open at the moment and I'm dreaming about the array of figures we could get and what characters may enter the figure realm. The Harry Potter universe is chocked full of amazing characters, with each film housing an entire cast of colorful heroes and villains. McFarlane has said before that they want to dig deep with the franchise, and for this post I will be focusing on what characters I want figures of most in each film. So with 10 movies to go through, here is my list!

Sorcerer's Stone- Hagrid
Hagrid is the true introduction of magic for both Harry and the audience. He comes bashing through the door and changes Harry's life, bringing him along to Diagon Alley where they learn about magic and truly become a part of the wizarding world. Hagrid continued on throughout the franchise as a continuously lovable and innocent hero, helping Harry and his friends while several times facing danger himself. McFarlane has stated that due to his size, he would likely be done in the higher priced creature assortment but as long as he gets a figure, I'll be happy.

Chamber of Secrets- Kid Harry
I assume this is a figure that will be coming soon, as the line will without a doubt deliver a few variations on the main hero in short order. The biggest reason though that I'm anticipating a figure of this, which may be coming soon since wave 2 is said to be based on the second film, is that each figure from wave 1 comes with a smaller animal accessory. Dobby would be a perfect pack in for a kid Harry figure, or Fawkes the phoenix, but in general we'll need a younger version of Harry to represent his younger years.

Prisoner of Azkaban- Sirius Black
For this slot I'll be wanting the title character of the film, and I'm not talking about Harry. From his introduction, Sirius Black was billed as a vicious, maniacal killer who somehow broke into Hogwarts, which itself is impressive, but then the character turned out to be one of the biggest heroes of the franchise and one of the most loved. A framed man who was forced to live on the run, leading to his death being one of the most heartbreaking of the movies. I would take him either in his Azkaban garbs or the suit he wore in the 5th movie, I'm not picky.

Goblet of Fire- Mad Eye Moody
One of the most colorful characters to be added to the franchise, and it wasn't even the real guy! Mad Eye Moody was a creepy, rigid, stern new professor at Hogwarts with a magic eye that whirled around regardless of what the other eye was doing. His presence was definitely well accepted as a character, especially so once the real version of him arrived in later movies; and a figure of him would definitely go well with any Harry Potter display.

Order of the Phoenix- Luna Lovegood
I've mentioned before how Luna Lovegood is one of my favorite characters of the franchise. Her weirdness is infectious, and I love how she fit seamlessely with the rest of the group despite being intrudced near the end of the saga. She gave us an introduction to Thestrals which are among my favorite beasts, and also aided Harry in finding Ravenclaw's lost diadem, not to mention being one of the only primary characters to be from Ravenclaw house.

Halfblood Prince- Dumbledore
If he isn't in wave 2 I will wager that he will be in wave 3; the later version of him is the one I'm betting they'll use for a figure. The 5th and 6th movies did a good job of showing Dumbledore as a powerful, influential wizard who could cause Voldemort himself even to pause. As one of the most famous and impactful characters of the franchise, this line cannot go without a Dumbledore figure, who would pair perfectly with a figure of Fawkes.

Deathly Hallows part 1- Bellatrix Lestrange
She really could have fit in any of the last three slots but here is where I could fit her best. Bellatrix was a blast of energy that added a secondary villain to the movies when really there hadn't been one aside from Peter Pettigrew. She was full of energy, malicious, and made her mark by killing several main characters, earning her place in Harry Potter lore as a notable character. We're getting Voldemort in the first wave, and naturally we'll be needing other villains to stand alongside him.

Deathly Hallows part 2- Severus Snape
This character certainly could have worked in any of the previous slots, but I decided to wait until the end to include him. The 8th movie in the franchise is when Snape's backstory was revealed and it was shown that he was never actually a villain, in fact, he was one of the biggest heroes of the franchise! He is also one of the most popular characters as well, and he must make an appearance in the line soon because he very much deserves a figure in the line.

Fantastic Beasts- Newt Scamander
The first film in the Fantastic Beasts line introduced us to our new hero in the form of Newt Scamander, a socially awkward protagonist with a much bigger affinity for animals than he does for humans. Through him, we are being introduced to all kinds of new magical creatures, along with a flawed, more realistic hero similar to Harry in that they aren't perfect. The options for accessories for this figure are massive, but without a doubt he must include his briefcase and the Niffler!

Crimes of Grindelwald- Credence Barebone
My favorite character of the new franchise is far and away Credence. I've found his story very intriguing, and he has become central to the plot with Grindelwald, not to mention the two plot twists revolving around his character that have continued to add more depth and characterization to a flawed and broken character who doesn't know his place in the world. I'm really enjoying his presence in these films, and whether he arrives in his 1st movie or 2nd movie attire, I want a Credence figure for my Harry Potter display!
