Most wanted Star Wars: Return of the Jedi Black Series figures
For the 20th anniversary of the Phantom Menace this year, I did a series of three posts looking into what figures I wanted most from each movie in that trilogy. It was a good look into the characters of the world for me to think about what I wanted next in Hasbro's action figure line, and I've decided to apply that to the movies in the original trilogy as well! This time I'll be starting at the end with Return of the Jedi!

5. Ghost Yoda
Ghost Obi Wan was a neat figure with a great trick towards achieving that Force ghost apparition state without making the figure completely translucent. It looked good, and I'm aching for the rest of the Force ghosts in this fashion. Yoda is the obvious next choice, especially with him showing up again in The Last Jedi in this form. It would be an easy repaint of an existing figure who is already being rereleased in the Archive set, and I need to finish my Force ghost collection.

4. Ewoks
This deep into the line, after so many years, and we're still missing big parts of the franchise. One of those big parts come in the small shapes of Ewoks, little, adorable teddy bears that helped kill a bunch of Stormtroopers in the sixth film. I'm unsure how far into this tribe the line would go, but at the very least we are owed a Wicket, with room for more in multi-packs or single releases where demands calls for it.

3. Amanaman
Out of all the new aliens in the movie, this guy absolutely kills it in design for me. He's only topped by Jabba who we thankfully received a figure for already. This alien just has a very cool looking design with long, gangly arms, stubby legs, a oddly shaped body, and a pair of uncomfortable lips. Add to that the staff he carries with actual skulls on it and you've got yourself the ingredients for an awesome figure.

2. Bib fortuna
Amanaman is still an alien I want more than this guy, but role in the movie edges Bib Fortuna out on top. This was Jabba's right hand man, and while a bit daft he still kept the place running and I honestly didn't even know he was a Twi'lek. His species is known for beauty, so the fact that he looks disgusting is interesting, and in any case, our Jabbas on the shelfs are still in need of their doorman.

1. Jabba's palace Luke
We got Luke's Jedi robes from the end of the movie, but I like the pair from the beginning of the movie best. It skews more towards what we see in the prequels, cloth robes that have that layered affect, but is a stark shade of black which isn't something we usually see a Jedi wearing. The Jabba's palace scenes were amongst my favorite in the whole original trilogy, so having a figure of Luke representing those scenes would be awesome!
