Top 10 Most Likely Mega Construx Pokemon sets vol 2

I feel like its been forever since I wrote about Mega Construx's line of buildable Pokemon sets but at the same time I feel like product for this line has been very scarce this year. It could be because of Covid, or the emphasis on Halo, but I'm missing that constant stream of Pokemon we used to get and every new release gets me excited. From my previous list where I discussed what sets would be most likely to be coming out soon, I was right on the counts of getting other region's starter Pokemon, Greninja, Raichu, Kanto "non evolvers" like Scyther, Electabuzz, and Mr Mime, Eevee's evolutions, and Detective Pikachu based sets. I've added some new choices to this updated list, dropped some who were left over on the first, and with the hopes that we'll get lots more Pokemon sets in the future here are the top 10 Pokemon Mega Construx sets I think I are most likely vol 2!

10. Galar Pokemon

This is one that I have little doubt will be followed up on. I'm extremely surprised that we're so far out from the release of Sword and Shield with no sets based on those games really being revealed or released, with so many the starter sets for that game being the only inkling of product we've had shown off. I'm still waiting for a Pokeball wave with Galar Pokemon to be revealed, or dedicated sets that include all the great new designs we got!

9. Ampharos
A really great Pokemon and design from the Johto region is Ampharos who I'm surprised we haven't gotten any of the evolution line of, not even Mareep in the Pokeball waves! Ampharos is powerful, has a fun design with a unique shape compared to many other Pokemon, and one of the best electric type Pokemon out there!

8. Nidoking
One of my personal favorite Pokemon to come out of the Kanto region was Nidoking, a beastly looking Pokemon with so many inspirations from different animals drawn from to create one of the most unique looking pocket monsers of all time. I love the purple coloring of this creature as well, and I think that lots of other fans share my enthusiasm for this classic sprite as well!

7. Absol
For sure one of the most iconic non-Kanto Pokemon of all time, Absol has a great reputation among fans as a cool looking and tragic Pokemon, while in the actual Pokemon universe it is hailed by many as a bad omen that will bring about disasters. This is such a cool piece of lore to attach for a creature from this universe, and since this Pokemon isn't too large it would make it easier for Mega Construx to make a set for.

6. Rhydon
This Pokemon has the honor of being the first Pokemon ever designed for the videogame series, and that has carried through to some major popularity among fans. It has a simple design, yet has for sure become iconic among the Pokemon universe and one that is for sure more likely than others to get a buildable set.

5. Butterfree
Kanto has so many iconic Pokemon that are beloved among fans that haven't been made into buildable sets quite yet, and one of the most iconic is Butterfree. It had a starring role in the original anime as one of Ash's Pokemon, and we already have Caterpie in the line so the cards seem to be lining up for this great Pokemon to be introduced to the same hopefully soon.

4. Magmar, Pinsir, Jynx
There is a subsection of Kanto Pokemon I've discussed before that I like to call the "Non evolvers," as a group clustered together near the end of the Pokedex who do not evolve in any way (At least not until later games), and that group has found itself getting decent exposure in the buildable line already. Three of the major ones who haven't been done yet are Magmar, Pinsir, and Jynx, all of which I believe we could be seeing very soon due to their popularity and manageable size for a set.

3. Gardevoir
I would really love for the line to delve more into the Hoenn region, and one that is probably highest in probability from this great region is the psychic type Pokemon: Gardevoir. It has a very ethereal design and is definitely a fan favorite since its inception, also being a very powerful Pokemon in its own right and getting a starring role in the original Mystery Dungeon games which I played when they came out.

2. Arcanine
Dogs are in real life among the most beloved animals of all time, and that translates to Arcanine who stands as one of the most powerful fire types as well as fan beloved characters from the game series. Growlithe has seen release a couple times in the line already, and its furry, bushy evolved form is definitely deserving of a set as well by this point.

1. Alakazam
I've talked a lot about the iconic Pokemon from the Kanto region, and one that is definitely near the top of that list is Alakazam. This Pokemon goes beyond popular and has topped out the lists of many a fans favorite Pokemon. He has received a mega evolution in the more recent games, and the Mega Construx line has already given us multiple releases of Abra as well as Kadabra in the line so far. So the popularity of this evolutionary line doesn't seem to be lost on Mega Construx, and I have a good feeling Alakazam will be one of the next larger scale sets we will get.
