Top 5 most wanted Justice Society villains on the CW's Stargirl

Over the course of decades the Justice Society of America have fought countless villains, some going down in history as their greatest foes while others are quickly forgotten. With Stargirl coming out as a tv show focused so much on the JSA, we've already seen so many homages and appearances of classic JSA lore that I'm really happy to see in live action. Villain wise, we've started off incredibly strong with the Injustice Society of America adapting some of the team's vintage foes like Brainwave, Solomon Grundy, and Dragon King to the screen, with season 2 bringing another JSA comic threat in the forms of Eclipso and The Shade! With so many great villains already being used by the show it makes me excited to see who may lay in future seasons, and here are the top 5 JSA villains from the comics I hope to see in Stargirl!

5. Mordru
While he may be too powerful for the current iteration of the team, I would love to see the extremely magical Mordru eventually make his debut. As the nemesis to Dr Fate, it would be a perfect gateway to that character's new host appearing in the show, and would be a deep dive into the magical lore of the DC universe for the show which has largely stuck to science and cosmic ideas.

4. Gentlemen Ghost
Speaking of delving into new topics, the show wouldn't have to greatly explain the idea of the afterlife but just having a ghost as a villain would be so much fun especially when its Gentlemen Ghost. He had a major role in the 1999 JSA series as the final foe of that comic run, and aside from the fact that design alone would make him an incredible villain for the show, his desire to act as a gentlemen would be so different from all the other bloodthirsty, evil villains they fight.

3. Kid Karnevil
Speaking of bloodthirsty and evil villains, Kid Karnevil's reveal and ultimate role during the 2007 Justice Society of America comic series in the "Bad Seed" and "Fatherland" stories instantly went down as some of my favorite Justice Society storylines ever! I would go nuts if the All American Kid appeared on the show as a new recruit Courtney tries to add to the team, and with this team being a younger generation of heroes I think Kid Karnevil would fit well with the cast.

2. Ultra Humanite
A villain who could easily have major ties to the first JSA in the same way the Injustice Society did, the Ultra Humanite is a character I've wanted to see in recent live action more and more. His body hopping gimmick is disturbing and could be played to great effect in a tv show format, especially if they used his albino gorilla form as the season finale of some sort.

1. Johnny Sorrow
Based on the ending to the original Stargirl comics, which the show pulled very heavily from, I was 100% sure that Johnny Sorrow was going to appear at the end with Shiv to set up season 2. Instead Eclipso filled that role, and while I'm really excited to see Eclipso in this universe, I'm still very much hoping that Johnny Sorrow is in the cards for down the line. Every storyline involving him with the JSA has been so much fun, and his penchant for having an eerie voice would demand a great voice actor to portray him. Just like Gentlemen Ghost, the design of this villain would make him an instant stand out, but it would be his actions and role that would really catapult him to the best and his comic counterpart has done that many times.
